So with a CAI-LHR-JFK-LAX-HNL return routing, BA members can earn 1120 TPs for the same price (8x140 TPs). This can be replicated on aa.com's multi-city search function.
It is even possible for a one-night turn in HNL for those crazy TP hunters!

Any idea how much is the First A class fare for CAI-HNL via LHR and MIA or JFK and LAX?

for me the fare only works if I book from any non-US AA website. the US website always gives me around 4k. I can also get it from the BA website but it routes through Seattle on the 747.

does anyone understand what the rules are for the "business flexible" fare? can it be cancelled with small/no penalty?

Also possible to do a Circle the South Atlantic for $1661

Haven't tried putting stopovers in but the Fare Rules state HIP check can be ignored for transfers (doesn't mention stopovers) and 1 free stopover ? each way - may be good for a CAI-South Africa-South America-Europe-CAI holiday

This has been around for a long time, but the price has dropped due to currency fluculations.

was going to try and refund my original booking and rebook with a nice HNL vacation thrown in. However prices for my dates, as well as some other searches, are turning up prices of over $2k now as opposed to $1600ish. Can anyone find $1600ish prices still or has the fare crept up?

unless its booked as an AA flight number then you earn based on the BA chart which is based on distance not price. So if you book the BA coded flights you get distance not fare.

Hi LX64A332

Please which search engine did you use for this route.

Many thanks

I am seeing this pricing at around £1600 now. Was pricing at around £1200 earlier this evening though.

At £1600 price point all legs are in D and flexible for a fee of EGP 650. At £1200, legs between CAI and JFK are in I and non flexible.

So I suspect the issue is I availability on BA.

For my searches it looks like the price has jumped $400 plus. Good thing I guess as I'm not a fan of visiting CAi.

If you are trying to get aa.com to offer JFK-LAX-HNL, just ask it to find flights between JFK and HNL. Since there are no direct flights, it will automatically offer a connection via LAX, or PHX.

That allows you to only specify 6 flight segments and aa.com will actually provide 8 to you.
