Hopefully you can rebooked to a nice airline.

And I do hope that you have travel insurance and the payout would have covered the fare you paid.

Let us know how it went.
I'm seeing the only viable option will be HX to HKG and connect on PR to MNL in HKG. But I'm not sure if I should be too hopeful. Not sure how helpful will the staff be in DPS.

Yes I do have travel insurance hopefully money can relief a bit of the disappointment.

UPDATE: Received another email stating 12 hours delay for the MNL-LHR flight too due to typhoon Nina. So looks like I'll have to accept this and just reach LHR 12 hours later than scheduled.

Anyone tried changing dates?

Before outbound or even after taking the DPS-MNL.

I need to change my dates sadly.

Tried but the difference in fare is about 1300 USD, which I politely declined and cancelled it.

Thanks for sharing.

Maybe I should try to change it after flying the DPS-MNL sector.

Anyone who has experience with this, please let me know!

I think if you already have a stopover, you should be able to change with no issue. Just ask to be checked to MNL, instead of through.

I don't have a stopover, and there is something called a HIP check? In my experience this HIP check can mess things up so I didn't dare take the risk.

Would be curious to know if anyone managed this as well.

Cancelled with no penalty and booked the Oman MNL-NCL for $US100 more.

Most definitely. Just went to CDG with them in Dec. Awesome crew. Not the polished type, but they are really relaxed and treat you like friends. Plus a very useful chauffeur drive service in Paris.

Thanks for the headsup for Oman. I however can't find WY for $100 more.

Mine doesn't have a stopover, only a transit.

It is not available everywhere, only certain OTAs.

Agreed a much better product but travel time increases to 22 hours and not flying in to LHR, so there is a tradeoff.

Flying this MNL-CDG fare (deplane with a stopover between CDG-NCL) in June. (USD480 OW, books as R business fare).
I hear it's a very nice product (both hard/soft).

Anyone finding any good deals ex-Europe into Manila for the month of June? Etihad have just launched a deal from EU to Asia but it seems to be RT only.
