Flight Changes
Many changes have been made due to Etihad schedule changes. In some cases, connecting flights are being swapped to nonstops. Some have been able to get this changed back by calling Etihad, others have not. You may have to repeat call / HUCA to get it switched back.

But it was no comparison to other airports. Just extensive security at the X-rays. Took ca 3 mins.

I got SSSS but my friend didn't. I sat in the room for 52 minutes. All to simply get in a line to get patted down. Fifty two minutes. Tons of restless people. They were boarding to IAD by the time I finally got released.

Just returned from a fantastic and flawless trip.
Checkin in at ohare opened at 515pm. I was fortunate that as soon as I arrived it opened and was very first person to check in. I used the KLM lounge, used my INK card lounge benefit.
Outbound booked the 2 seaters, lucked out to have empty seat on very last row. Advantage of back is that you are first group to board and skip the mayhem. As soon as gate agent made first announcement, hoards of passengers gathered like cattle at gate. Now I know why the english imperialist used whips.
Etihad coach is by far the best coach class I have travelled, great service, amenities and product. Flight was easy, took two sleeping pills that made time fly.
Was delayed 1 hour on both outbound and inbound, for no particular reason, simply delays in boarding and taxi to runway.
Missed Express shuttle tu Dubai, next one was full, but since there were about 8 other passengers with delays, they just got another bus for 8 of us. From Dubai travel mall to creek 55 AED
Used uber in dubai. used metro and taxis, all easy and cheap.
I used multiple ATM, all have fixed exchange rate and no fees. Convenient.
Upon return, I had read reports of long check in lines, security etc, so went early. I only had 1 carryon and global entry. It took me exactly 30 minutes from check in to gate. Global Entry line was empty. Even with JFK/LAX/ORD departs at same time, it was quick.
On the outbound I made friends with 3 other guys on deal, on return, at same hotel I was staying at 2 other guys were on deal, this makes me think that this mistake fare was a lot more widespread than the 5K tickets sold that was mentioned up thread.

I didn't get the SSSS, but what I did get was an X on my slip for US immigration. I have global entry and it is frustrating that I always get an X, last 5 out of 6 entries. Only once at ohare did they send me to a room, but 5 min later cleared away. DFW & IAH have checked the system, seen nothing and let me go.

A question please... I think I read upthread somewhere that some people were having difficulty getting AA miles to post? Did I imagine that? Or can someone either confirm or deny?

Anyone else flying JFK-CDG-AUH-JNB around mid-May? I'm flying 5/19 - 5/27. I got automatically re-routed on the direct AUH-JFK coming back, but my stopover in CDG is still valid. It looks like they could re-route me to JFK-AUH-JNB with a long layover in AUH on the outbound as well, so I'm wondering why they haven't done that (yet). I'd definitely like to keep the CDG stopover if possible and was wondering what other itineraries looked like.

I stupidly used my AA number on a trip in February from IAD to AUH, and I now realize that it won't earn any AA miles, but that I could have earned miles if I had used a different program (like ANA). I assume I'm out of luck on this, as the trip is now over, but does anyone know if there is any way to successfully change the frequent flier and get miles at this point?
