Flight Changes
Many changes have been made due to Etihad schedule changes. In some cases, connecting flights are being swapped to nonstops. Some have been able to get this changed back by calling Etihad, others have not. You may have to repeat call / HUCA to get it switched back.

If I were to guess, based upon the fact that these booked into cheapo-economy buckets, you are dealing with a non-flexible ticket as the basis, don't be too greedy. It's all about Air fare Karma, at least my two cents.

I'm heading to MNL via AUH next week. Long, long flights 
Am getting the e-mails encouraging bidding for J, but no dollar figure mentioned. Has any1 really lowballed this and gotten it? I notice three of the four total segments I have were up for bid. I could offer maybe $100 or $200 but they might think that's rude. 
Also, JMHO, maybe they ought to just offer a refund to anyone who requests it if they booked a trip on the mistake fare and changed their mind. Wouldn't that make business sense? Maybe make it valid up to 7 days before travel. All because of the special circumstances. I wouldn't be taking it on any of my 3 trips, but if someone does, so much the better for EY.
Would also agree that the segment rebookings to all EY metal should be material enough to offer a refund as alternative. Those are being done because the fare is so low that the other carriers can't be compensated enough, which is a situation that wouldn't be happening with a normal fare.
And maybe this whole thing lets EY put their best foot forward and make a favorable impression on people flying them for the first time...it's easy to see a future choice between them and EK or QR to go somewhere in that part of the world.

As a reference point (and I haven't read the thread in a while) -
I received the change notice from EY about three weeks ago and because of travel have only made one phone call to them.
I still have an AA flight - JFK-CDG.
My AUH-CDG-JFK return (with the last segment on AA) was changed to a direct.
I did call and try to sort through this and was told the following:
1) my original flight AUH-CDG had been cancelled (it has not)
2) EY was no longer flying that route (Oh? I said, EY no longer flies to Paris from Abu Dhabi? - met with silence)
3) was told that I could retrieve my original AUH-CDG-JFK if I flew a day earlier or a day later than my original date of travel
4) was told that even though I had selected an AA MCE seat on the return, that EY would not offer me the same type of seat ( I could purchase it, however)
5) I could get a refund for the ticket
At that point, I just told her I didn't have time to deal with it as I was literally heading to the airport to fly to Austin.
I will be calling them again tomorrow to request my original routing.
If it is not resolved satisfactorily, I think I will either a) just fly the beginning of the trip and spend a few days in Paris and find a return award ticket from somewhere in Europe or b) cancel the whole thing.... a gazillion hours in regular coach is just not appealing to me with no mileage benefit.

That's what I was thinking, but the promotion page has been removed. The offer expired weeks ago, but if you enrolled during that time you can accrue double miles until 12/31/15. I remember this because I travel in October.
