Flight Changes
Many changes have been made due to Etihad schedule changes. In some cases, connecting flights are being swapped to nonstops. Some have been able to get this changed back by calling Etihad, others have not. You may have to repeat call / HUCA to get it switched back.

Am I reading my ticket correctly and only 1 7-kg piece of carry-on luggage is allowed? Is anyone carrying on a standard 21" rollerboard and a handbag? Alternatively, can I check 2 bags for free up to the stated 23kg? This seems like an incredibly basic question, which was muddled (for me) by the 1 carry-on bag verbiage.

Also got the email to bid for Business ORD-AUH $1195. Too much money for me.
As others have posted, I signed up for the 2x miles offer, will pool into family account and will cash out via amazon gc.
Up thread I read the best time to call Customer Service is Early, so as soon as I got up 6AM CST, I called and the hold time was less than a minute. I was able to reserve the free coach bus, yes, because it is free.

You have to make an account for each family member. Once done, there is an option to convert into a family account. When you do that it will ask you who to invite and what their relationship is (you'll need their etihad guest account #). Then it will email them, when they accept, you will be the "head" of the family and all air miles earned by the other accounts will be pooled into your family account.

Aegean now also - Family account (it actually transfers all the miles into the new Together account)

My wife and I chose Row 42 on the 3-4-3 777...the consensus seems to be those are the seats to get if just travelling with a companion. 41 apparently has more offset than 42 and I believe people said the 2nd row of pairs was a better bet.

Am (soon-to-be "was") scheduled to leave JFK to AUH this evening, but I'm still in WAS because all my connections from WAS to NYC were cancelled. Called EY to see if they could accommodate on the IAD-AUH direct but was told that there would be a change fee and difference in fare totaling about $1,000. Anyone have tips or suggestions at this point? This is probably not going to end up well. :|

you can try to find a sympathetic agent who might allow you to catch the flight from JFK tomorrow, if you can get there...and you might as well HUCA and beg--nothing to lose--but not being in the correct airport to catch your mistake--er, promo--fare originating flight doesn't generally end well, at least for the traveler!Good luck, and let us know what transpires. ^
