Would you bite if the fare was $35 cheaper when purchased at their airport counters?

It's fun that the flight portion is only $0.02 cents.

Cebu runs fare sales regularly where this route is $70-$100RT (Along with MNL-KWI/DOH, possibly others). I've booked a few in the opposite direction for the same price, but when constructing my trip, noticed that the opposite direction priced out similarly...go to the Cebu webpage every once in a while and you'll know when they're having such a fare sale.

Edit:
DOH-MNL-DXB
I know this is in the opposite direction, but as I said, the same is achievable beginning at MNL... To save the conversions, the total, 202.11 QAR = $55.50 RT

what are some of the other additional costs besides this that NK charges that you won't see on traditional carriers?

don't they make their money charging for everything, and I do mean everything?

Yes, everything Last year SO and I flew r/t from LAS to FLL for $34. This was back when if you didn't purchase seat assignments in advance you could do it for free at the kiosk, they've since eliminated that loophole. You'll pay for carry-on (got around that by bringing a backpack loaded with clothes, snorkels, fins, and goggles), checked bags, seat assignments, food, etc. I think the best value is in the Big Front Seat. the seat pitch in economy is abysmal but the BFS is equivalent to most domestic first class seats, but for only $15 - $70.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to start checking their site more regularly.

If you book through Spirit's website it's $68 R/T
But yes, if buy at the ticket counter they remove the passenger usage fee, around $32 R/T.

Just drove my sis there so she could get 5 tickets for $161 MLK weekend.
