In addition to what I just posted, PHX-SFO on AA is available for $92 RT. Other cities include DEN for $90 and ORD for $172. PHX-MIA and PHX-PHL can also be done for $252. All can be done with same day turns. I'm looking at September dates but there could be availability for other months as well.

I'm assuming these are operated by US? Sadly for me (and others) that want to credit to AS it makes a big difference, at least until they combine reservation systems.

All are US operated with the exception of ORD and MIA. MIA usually requires a connection in DFW both ways so you'll get at least 2 or more flights operated by AA.

As long as it has an AA flight number it doesn't matter if it is a US plane for AS credit. That's my understanding. I just verified it with the Gold desk. Doesn't matter if it a US Air plane as long as it is an AA flight number.

That's not what I have been told over and over.

If it is operated by US, you can't get AS mileage credit.

I have asked the Gold desk twice in the past two days and each time they have told me that if the equipment is US Air, but the FLIGHT NUMBER is American Airlines, it is credited as AA to Alaska. It has to be operated as an AA flight number.

If you have reservations about it (see what I did there?) don't fly AA/US until the reservation computer systems and frequent flyer programs are merged. Better safe than sorry! :-)

This probably isn't the thread for this; but I would encourage you to check out this discussion.

UA SEA-BWI via SFO/IAH is <300 all throughout September that I checked for 4.7cpm. Alternatively on AA/AS via DFW for <300 and ~5cpm

(I'm not used to looking these up, is basically anything below 5cpm with a stopover considered a good deal? or what's the handwavy rule here?)

5cpm is my metric. I'll do more if it's an interesting vacation destination.
