  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

I was researching taking AC and it looks like the YYZ/YUL flights to Spain switch from the older to the newer configuration sometime in June. So if you book for May, I think you are talking about the older seat.

But as you wisely point out, there is nothing like checking the seat map (and then pray against equipment substitution at the last minute).

ORD is in on MAD

Didn't see anyone mention it yet, but along with the other MAD fares, I am finding tons of dates for ORD-MAD in biz as low as $1810. Actually most dates are $1810 with a few slightly higher - all depends on who you choose to fly with.

I see dates throughout June and July but didn't check any others.

Also, ORD - BCN as low as $2200.

(yes this is my first post - but Ive been around forever. I just finally have something useful to add)

Ugh, my impatience has bitten me in the ... I booked the previous deal which came out at $2,133 LAX-MAD with UA on the TATL and 10 day minimum stay.

If I had waited, I could have gotten $1,962 LAX-MAD with the same routing, and only 8 or 9 days. $!#!@#$%

I'm sure that eventually the minimum stay will go way and the fare will drop a bit more.

After spending most of this afternoon on the phone with DL PLT desk, online web support(actually more like [B]non[B]support), and international desk, in several different phone calls, I was finally able to ticket two DFW-SLC-ATL-MAD itineraries for a total of $1798.81 a.i. each. Flights booked into P for domestic legs and Z for TATL.

Not too bad for a total of 20,685 MQMs, and 34,475 miles/account!
