Heading to London 12/3-6 and Paris 12/6-11. I have submitted a couple of LNF requests that have been denied because of the "voucher" issue. I don't mind doing my own search and hate to bother the busy people here who are helping in this thread...but could anyone PM me with some booking sites that might help out in this circumstance, ie, there is no "voucher" issued.
Thanks in advance.
If someone still likes :^) to search and wants to try.....I love Grosvenor House in London...but my budget is under $200/night so realize I may have to go elsewhere. In Paris...I've been looking at the Marriott Rive Gauche and have a reservation there at 620.31E. This is an anniversary trip for us and I'd like to have it be as "high class" as I can get on our budget.

LNF - Can they process over the phone?

I currently have a reservation for the Courtyard Long Beach for tonight (8/31) for 1 night booked at a "Best Available Rate". When checking this morning, it looks like the "Best Available Rate" has now dropped by $20 on the Marriott website. If I call Marriott, will they honor the LNF rate and give me the extra discount or do I have to submit a form? The reason I ask is that I'm flying out this afternoon and need to have a reservation in place before I arrive.

Should I cancel the existing reservation and just book it at the new lower rate or should I try for the LNF guarantee? If I have to submit the request, will Marriott honor the LNF rate after the stay is completed if the request isn't processed today? Can I call Marriott to honor the LNF rate? This is the first time I've run into the rate actually dropping the day of my travel so any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that you must submit the form at least 24 hours before your reservation. I would still call and ask - the worst they can say is no, and you can just cancel and reserve at the cheaper rate.

That's exactly the response I received - "Sorry, you didn't submit 24 hours in advance" so we're denying your claim. The claim was actually valid but not prior to 24 hours of the reservation. I sort of thought they'd do that but was hoping they'd honor the claim. I guess it gives Marriott an easy way out for paying any of these claims if the rate actually decreases the day of the reservation.

I already have the second reservation made so I'll just cancel the first. As someone previously mentioned, it can't hurt to ask.

You can also go back to your first reservation, click on edit this reservation, and if the rate has dropped it will notify you that the rate you've chosen is no longer valid. I usually like to cancel the newer reservation. I don't know if hotels can tell when a reservation has been made or even if they care, but I want someone to see I've been planning on staying there for a while
