Rate - $459

Considering that is the weekend of the July 26 - 28 Newport Folk Festival, which is a big event in Newport, and the rates for just about every hotel in Newport are significantly higher than for an average summer weekend, and the Marriott is not even offering a AAA rate for that weekend, and the $459 rate comes up on just about every travel website, IMO, the $459 rate will only increase between now and then.

Thanks - I had no idea. Never been to Newport and was looking for someplace for a long weekend while the kids are at sleep away camp. Looks like I need to find another option.

Newport is one of my favorite places on the planet, so do not let this one weekend dissuade you from Newport, just try again on another weekend.

FYI - If you are ever wondering why a hotel is unusually high, then do a Google search for "events in Newport, RI" or events in whatever area you want to visit. Then, if there is a big event going on, you will know why the rates are so high, and not wonder whether LNF will be the solution or magic bullet you are looking for.

Is there any use to LNF outside of the US?
 

I was excited when I discovered LNF., only to find it fairly useless... Have been denied twice.

Any help would be appreciated.

Current rooms: 1 queen / 2 twin harbor view - 15,884 HKD (booked at marriott direct)

1 queen 2 twin, club garden view w/ breakfast. - 13,464 (other site)

First claim denied - claimed voucher. 2nd claim different room type (even though the room from 3rd party site is a much more expensive room type on marriott)


suggestions would be much appreciated

both denials in accordance with LNF rules................frankly you should actually READ the rules and its cavaets before you complain as LNF team is 100% correct............and once you know the R&Rs you won't be disappointed by denied claims as you will be filing only claims that meet the R&Rs.........
