This is true., I'll try to get more advice in the other thread., my main point was that at least for Asia hotels it seems

- They can claim any site uses a voucher (I found no reference to vouchers on booking.com)

- 24 hour rule allows them to fix anything with 3rd party travel site as a screen shot is not accepted as proof of rate. Rates for hotel changed after I submitted claim.

HKG Renaissance Mar 3-7... $1700USD?!

Help with what? You need to give us a starting point, meaning what rate did you find. Just wanting a cheap rate is not enough, everyone wants that. What/where did you find as a base rate for comparison to other hotel reservation sites?

Newport is one of my favorite places on the planet, so do not let this one weekend dissuade you from Newport, just try again on another weekend.

FYI - If you are ever wondering why a hotel is unusually high, then do a Google search for "events in Newport, RI" or events in whatever area you want to visit. Then, if there is a big event going on, you will know why the rates are so high, and not wonder whether LNF will be the solution or magic bullet you are looking for.

Actually, every weekend I have checked this summer has about the same rate.

Yes, surprisingly, this is true, weekend nights are $459 and work day nights are $359, pretty much all summer long! I have been to Newport many times, and have stayed in this hotel many times, and I have never seen such uniformity and such uniformly high rates all summer long! UGH!

I, too, was just turned because of "vouchers" however the site/rate does not require a voucher.

If it was me, I would call customer service and explain the situation, and ask for clarification about these "so called" vouchers, which seem not to exist. Might it be that in Asia they (whichever office handles LNF bids for Marriott in Asia) think it is acceptable to make excuses rather than grant LNF bids?

When I do get a rejection because of voucher, they normally quote me the T&C from the comparison site. If not, write back and ask for it.

Btw the $1700 USD is not surprising, especially when it's during trade fair.

I would appreciate any help finding a LNF rate for Boscolo Venezia in Venice, Italy (part of the Autograph collection) August 3rd-5th.

Thanks.

On Marriott.com I get: Deluxe room 221 Euro (non ref); 234 Euro (24 hr ref); 260 Euro BAR

Assistance no longer needed - Thank you sdsearch.

Any help with an LNF is appreciated for any of these three hotels with check in ? and check out ?.

JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square: $329/night
San Francisco Marriott Marquis: $349/night
San Francisco Marriott Union Square: $229/night

I submitted an LNF using the site I always use but got rejected due to different cancellation policies. The interesting thing is that I have used the same site before (even with the different cancellation policies) but never got rejected based on that!
