AC Palacio De Santa Paula - Granada, Spain
hello,
i've contributed a good handful of LNF success stories in the other thread, but i can't seem to crack this particular one for some reason. trying to book the AC Palacio De Santa Paula, Autograph CollectionŽ in Granada, Spain. checkin: 2 april checkout: 5 april (or 6 april) marriott's stay for breakfast rate: 160 euros per night i did my diligence, and actually found a few sites that offer better rates. i submitted about 3-4 claims, only to get shot down every time because they apparently provide a "voucher" which invalidates LNF claims for international properties. the reply from LNF detailing the reason for denials is the following: "According to the Terms and Conditions of Marriott's Look No Further(SM) Best Rate Guarantee, the guarantee does not apply to pre-paid rates that involve a voucher (including electronic vouchers) for a hotel stay outside of the United States and Canada. According to our review, we have determined that a travel voucher will be issued for the accommodations with which your comparison was made." i hope some of the resident experts can help out with this rather challenging LNF. thank you! |

FAQ:? - Marriott site no availability - LNF possible?
Hi all,
this is probably an FAQ, but wasn't sure exactly where to find the answer. I have a hotel which (seems to ) have availability but cannot be booked on Marriott.com - presumably they are enforcing a 2-night min stay as it is possible to book 18-20 March or 17-19 March but not 18-19 March on Marriott.com. On the other hand I can happily book 18-19 March on several third-party websites. Does this represent an opportunity for an LNF? - or is it impossible to even get into the LNF process since one has no reservation in the first place. BTW, IF the hotel was offering a room for the night the price on other websites would be lower and I would have a valid LNF claim in any case. |

If you are having trouble with marriott.com, then call Marriott rez, and ask them to give you a booking for the night(s) you wish to reserve. Then use that rez for your LNF claim. If the rez agent specifically tells you there is a two night minimum rule in place, you will know where you stand. It is possible that the third party sites have access to a block of rooms purchased (maybe by an aggregator or reseller) before the two night requirement was implemented (maybe after 60 or 70 or 80% occupancy was achieved by the hotel), and therefor, the third party rooms are not subject to the same restrictions. |
