I will happily continue to maintain the list, and I welcome any additions and suggestions for it. However, going forward, unless a request for the list is accompanied by at least one new obscure travel website submission for the list, I will collect the names of people requesting the list throughout a given week, and send out a group e-mail of the most recent version/update for the list just once per week. If the request is accompanied by at least one new website for the list, I will (continue to) send out an individual e-mail of the list to that person within 24 hours.

Happy 'LNFing' and good luck to all!

PS. I will also periodically make a public post in this thread when there has been a significant change to the list of three or more new obscure sites.

I'd be interested in getting on the next weekly email! Sadly, I don't know of any obscure websites... or maybe I do and just don't know they're obscure?

Thanks!

You did good with that for Expat, did you send him the details by PM so he could submit a LNF claim?

Version 6 of the LNF Obscure Booking Sites list is available for the next distribution, probably on Monday, April 1. (This means there have been at least 3 new website addresses added since Version 5.)

Clarification: This list is available to anyone who sends a PM to me, asking for the list by RETURN PM. Please do not send me your private e-mail address, and please do not e-mail me to my private e-mail address. If you send me e-mail, or if you ask me to send the list by e-mail, please do not expect a reply with the list. The purpose of sending out the list once per week is to avoid a whole bunch of time consuming individual messages, and not to send in a different way to everyone. This is a FlyerTalk forum and thread, not a private e-mail exchange. PMs only please. Thanks.

WHEW! After much frustration, I realized I had to use the add a link button. PM sent with a rate of 70 pounds. Hopefully it qualifies, as I am new to this LNF hunt and might have missed one of the rules...

Please let us know if this is successful.

Ahhhh LNF karma.

Unfortunately, I don't think I did as well as I hoped.. The lower rates are just what the rate changes to on Marriott.com during his reservation. I was just trying to point it out so that if someone found the lower rate they would realize that it's the same at Marriott...

Sorry for the confusion!

Hopefully I've made up for it with DJ! Fingers crossed.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help,

Unfortunately it is showing at £85 using the link in your PM, and also manually searching that website.

Any ideas ??

Thanks
Daniel

No need to be sorry, and nothing to make up for. You are doing what this thread is for, and also what is the spirit of FlyerTalk, learning as you go, trying to share, and trying to help others. If you have not been properly welcomed yet, let me welcome you to FlyerTalk and to this thread!

Thanks! Glad to be here!!

I read your post about your username being about a bad day with USAir... but for now every time I see it I don't want to irritate you! It's a funny feeling.

Hotels in Miami from 08/15/13-08/17/13:

Courtyard Miami Beach South Beach, 2 queen beds:
08/15 - $169
08/16 - $186

+ tax on them

Anything better than that? Thanks in advance

Important question!

I booked Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes a back in February for 10 nights in May at a rate of 239/nt. Now, today just booked the same room, same nights, for $199.

Reading through the LNF small print I think this still qualifies even though they're both through marriott.com??

Also are the points awarded based on the actual amount paid or the amount for the original reservation? As this is a client paid stay there isn't much incentive for me to submit a claim and lose out on almost 15,000 points.

Any better rates out there for the JW Chicago that can be found?

JW CHICAGO
5/4/13-5/5/13
Marriott Price is $209
