Has anybody ever experienced a lower rate found on a site to "mysteriously" disappear once you've filed a claim?
For the Renaissance Bangkok I found a ~16000 THB rate for Jan 12-15 for which I filed a LNF claim (Marriott rate was ~18000 THB). Upon review by the LNF team the lower rate was set just a tad below the Marriott rate (not enough to warrant a valid claim, service charge difference etc). This struck me as very odd and arbitrary. |
Have some business on the east side of Pittsburgh soon and the rates are very high. Unfortunately, I need to find something less than $120/night this time, which means a comparison rate of no more than $160.
Have tried everything I know and can't find anything for an LNF. Here are the properties that would work and the Marriott rates. (I can change hotels as often as necessary.) Sept 18-22 (4 nights) Springhill Suites Pittsburgh Mills $169 Springhill Suites Pittsburgh Bakery Square $179 Courtyard Pittsburgh Monroeville $149 (Courtyard Pittsburgh Shadyside and the downtown properties are out because the $120 is inclusive of parking fees...) Creative suggestions welcomed... |

Dear All,
The rates in Hong Kong are high during this period. Please help to find a lower rate. Tried many sites but to no avail. 10 to 13 Nov 2011 (3 nights) 1) Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel - Advance Purchase (21 Days Advance) : HKD 1,270 2) Renaissance HK Harbour View and JW Marriott are all showing above HKD 4,000 a night which is beyond my budget Thanks a million. Looking for a last minute NYC stay :eek::eek: 10-15/10-16
rates to beat are: Algonquin Hotel $459 New York Marriott East Side $399 Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel $399 New York Marriott Downtown $409 Thanks! |
Champagne taste....beer pocketbook.
I'd love to stay at Grosvenor House or one of the other cat 7-8 hotels in London for under $200/night total including taxes. Dates are Dec. 3-6, 2011 - 2 people (2 weekend nights in there which are usually cheaper). Don't mind booking nights separately if that's what it takes. I currently have a res at Regents Park for 125GBP/night. From there we are going to Paris from Dec 6-11. Again, I'd love to stay at one of the "nicer" hotels for under $200/night. I've got the Rive Gauche reserved at $127E x 3 and 111E x 2 (think this is pretty good) but if I could move up, it would be great. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

This may or may not help you, but I was able to purchase and redeem $120 of IC Priority Club points for a room at the Staybridge Suites Times Square. It's a very new hotel, and the rooms are quiet. You get free hot breakfast and free wifi. Prices when I stayed would have normally been $299/night. If you stay there, I highly suggest eating lunch or dinner at Capizzi Pizza, which is a half-block down the street from the hotel.
I'm using Marriott Checks so this is perfect |
Las Vegas Marriott 10/28 one night, 2 rooms. (1 King/sofabed) $159. I have not spent much time in Vegas, but I really thought I could get a better deal than this. I am open to other options, hopefully between convention center and airport.
