good luck at this late date, and by the way, the THB7000 is a pre-paid rate so even more unlikely getting an LNF............... no, your best bet is to use, or buy, 30,000 points as the equivalent of THB10,000 still better then spending THB16,XXX

I'm looking for a deal for Jan 16th. No points redemptions available on that day.

I'm pretty adept at finding BRGs with at least a 75% success rate on all my SPG stays.

I found a prepaid rate on Marriott.com for 5810 baht (6902 baht all in = US$218). I've already found a rate of $148 all in on another website which is also a prepaid rate.

Since I have no experience with Marriott, do I have a shot with this? How do I go about getting this without prepaying the room? Can I make a non-prepaid reservation and submit that the way I do with SPG?

Edit: Actually just noticed my competitive rate includes taxes AND breakfast. Same room type with breakfast on marriott.com is 7450 baht before taxes, and is cancellable. So do I have a valid claim?
