Melbourne Marriott - March 23 - 26

Looking for some help with 2 rooms at the Melbourne Marriott for 3 nights, March 23 - 26.

1) Marriott has a regular rate of $279AUD (per room) for the first 2 nts (Friday and Saturday) and $289 for the last night, Sunday.

2) They also have a 14 day Advance Purchase rate at $259 for each night. It has to be booked 14 days before but they say it is only charged to a CC 3 days before. For this rate they want one deposit ($259) for the first 2 nights and another deposit (another $259) for the last night. (Weird - and I can't get an explanation from Marriott!) The res can be cancelled up to 3 days before.

Any help finding a better rate? Thanks.

Hi All,

It's my first time trying to find a LNF and am struggling, perhaps I dont know the best sites? Could you PM me some examples of where you find these?

I'm looking for 2 nights in Marriott/JW/Renaissance London UK - there are a number of Advance purchases available, hence I think I may be able to find something.

Dates: 2 - 4th March.

Thanks for any help

LNF London GS or CH

I'm looking for a LNF rate for Marriott Grosvenor Square or County Hall. I have tried about 8 sites, but I can't find anything. Hopefully, someone knows a trick or two.

Grosvenor Square
Feb 16: $199 (GBP)
Feb 17: $199 (GBP)

County Hall
Feb 16: $195 (GBP)
Feb 17: $195 (GBP)
County Hall has an Advanced Purchased Rate for $165.75 (GBP) also, but I did not really want to do it that way as it would be a first for me.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! I promise to post a trip report if someone can help me! :)

Renaissance Phuket - around 20 March 2012

Best rate on the Marriott website:
THB 4800 ex tax/service

Best rate on "another" well-known hotels website:
THB 4500 incl tax/service

Alas that particular website falls foul of the "email confirmation required" rule, so other suggestions welcome

Also suggestions for the JW Khao Lak around the same time, currently showing on the Marriott website as:
THB 4875 ex tax/service
(although I haven't found anything better than that yet!)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi there, I'm planning to stay at a Marriott in Korea for six days and would like to make use of the LNF guarantee. However, I'm a bit confused. Can I use the guarantee with an Advance Purchase rate? It's prepay in full and non-refundable if cancelled more than 1 day after booking. It's in Korean Won, so presumably, it'd be best to have a site quoting in KRW. I know I can't use a pre-paid voucher. However, there is one established online agency, which is slightly cheaper in pounds sterling. I'm not sure if there's a qualifying online Korean company.

The main stumbling block is that it's an advance purchase rate. Does it qualify for the scheme? If I email the comparison straightaway, presumably I'd be left with time to cancel the booking; if it failed the terms of the LNF guarantee. Also, I can reserve with a pre-paid voucher agency for about £70 more than if the LNF guarantee qualified. I'd get no rewards points though.

Thanks.

It doesn't have to be KRW, you can use any currency as comparison rate and Marriott will calculate the rate for you using their own currency conversion.

If there is a Marriott advance purchase rate, then you can compare with another advance purchase rate on a comparison site (provided that it's not a voucher site). However you need to be 100% sure that you are going if you book a ADP rate.

If you booked through third party sites you won't get points/bonus - with the Megabonus running at the moment (for the stay 2 nights get 1 night free), the difference in price might be lower.

Hi,

Looking for a nice place to stay in the Newport Bach, CA area. Was looking for either the Newport Beach Marriott & Spa or the Newport Beach Marriott Bayview.

Dates are 3/23 to 3/26.

Regular rates for a 1 king or 2 double room are for the Newport Beach Marriott & Spa:

3/23 $189
3/24 $189
3/25 $189 all exl taxes

Regular rates for a 1 Bedroom Suite, 1 King, Sofabed, Balcony are for the Newport Beach Marriott Bayview:

3/23 $129
3/24 $129
3/25 $129 all exl taxes

As I am a platinum meber I'd prefer the Newport Beach Marriott & Spa because it has a concierge level.

Anybody who can help me to get a LNF rate. So far I've been unsuccesfull finding one. Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
