Just received my 35K/20n offer in email today. Seems they have not quite reached everyone yet.

So, how does anyone know this will actually work? I will have more than enough nights, but if I can't use this trick then I'm going to be a mite upset
This has worked for me in the past promos but make sure the final bill "settles" to the Visa card. I charge a couple dollars to the room that I am willing to pay and settle my last couple dollar bill to my personal Visa.

I got the email for the 3 stays/10K points. Works for me since I mainly stay at Hilton properties.

I'll have to use the split cc method since we have to use a corp cc (which is not Visa). Thanks to all who mentioned the work-around as I was thinking I wouldn't be able to benefit from the bonus at all.

I got 2,500 points per stay after my second stay for a total of 10,000 points. So that works out to 5 stays to get a max of 10,000 points. Not very exciting.

Interesting....

I looked at the site today, it showed the 20/35K, and it showed me as already registered, even though I had not done so.

I'm glad you guys are dedicated enough to work around the system for the Visa requirement. In my scenario, the risk (not getting the bonus because the folio is closed incorrectly) outweighs the rewards, so I cancelled ten upcoming nights at Marriott and moved to a Hilton property which was offering triple points (open to all, no credit card restrictions). Over $3k in hotel revenue lost for Marriott. Marriott did tell me Visa is sponsoring this promotion, so I guess that's one of the reasons, but they need to consider the ramifactions of these restrictive, targetted promotions.

Just received my 3 stay/10k bonus offer today ^ ^

For me, this is actually the best promo by far because the target # is so low and the earning period is so long and is the only one that encompasses the holiday period. Even better than the last promo which required 5 nights for the 10k bonus. Hyatt FFNs are - of course - more valuable, but the qualification and redemption periods are severely limited, and the room rates are usually higher.

Makes me feel even better about my decision to get a Marriott Visa card earlier this year.

There is OBVIOUSLY a problem with the rollout of this promo (as the front page of the website has advertised it for days).

I have several co-workers who did not receive there promo, and called to the plat line and was referred to the 888-MARRIOTT, this fixed it for all.

I still have not received the promo, even after looking on the website. I called MR, told the rep I hadn't received anything on the offer yet, and she signed me right up for the 20 nights/35K points promotion.

The promotion doesn't actually start until the 23rd, so there is still plenty of time left to get signed up.

They ran this last year, and it was indeed paid for by VISA. Guess VISA is really looking to get some in-roads here.... just a shame that we've changed to MC as corporate card

I have another variation on a bad roll-out :

At this point, I now see a banner ad and a link inviting me to sign-up for the promo (for up to 10K so I guess its the 10K/3 stay one), but when I try to sign up, i get an error message saying that "we could not register you in the MegaBonus promotion at this time."

Currently I am in an anniversary bonus promotion until the end of this month (5K for every 3 stays), so I wonder if this is the issue....

This seems to be the case for everyone without a promotion showing.

I'm in the anniversary bonus promotion currently too and I have received no fall bonus promo invitation yet. So maybe that does have something to do with it.
I'm going to call if I have not received anything by 9/20.
