Search is your friend ;)

From what I read in a dif thread, wholesale BB are sold in bulk (in bulk implies to me quantities more than Joe Consumer can afford to pay) to companies to use as incentives (HP was one example) & are obtained directly from Marriott's corporate incentive department.

My guess (and it's only that) is that the OP works for a company that buys them in bulk or knows someone who does, or someone at Marriott whispered it into his ear.

Cheers.

Yes, I guess that makes sense, but I am wondering, are the answers to the questions that I asked actually confidential, or just not widely disseminated?

Understood, but your reply still does not answer my three previous questions.

How was it found out that the wholesale price on Bonus Bucks is increasing?

How can the (consuming) public buy wholesale Bonus Bucks?

What is the minimum number of bonus bucks which qualifies for a wholesale purchase?

If you are a company and wish to purchase BB in bulk, you can call Marriott Incentive Dept. for more details. The price of each one, depends on a) How many you buy and b) The expiration date. The longer the expiration date, the more you buy, the cheaper they are per BB. I belive the minimum quantity is 50 or 100.

Also, no one in that company can use those BB. If they do, they would be subject to all of the BB being cancelled and or never being able to buy them again.

I just got a $200 BB from Delta for being a Plat member -- an incentive they give Plats every year.

I'm sure this has come up in the past but if the min is 50....I'm sure we could pool up enough people that are interested and get to that total......Depending on cost I'd buy a dozen or so.

USirritated Apr 7, 2010 9:27 am

Yes, but according to the above rules, the person who actually makes the purchase could not actually use any of them him or herself. So, would you be the person willing to make the purchase for the rest of us?

Also according to the rules on the back, the BB can not be re-sold.

Sure, I'd take one for the team if enough were interested.

If we collected the $ upfront we wouldn't be re-selling them just re-distruibuting them.

Does anyone remember the Geico rewards deal....I purchased a bunch of BB for $10 or something each.

Geico Rewards deal was $20 per $100 BB, and I purchased 5 of them myself. I am sure that MI did not give them to Geico free, I am sure that Geico PURCHASED them for resale to the general public, but I am also sure that Geico and MI had a prestablished arrangement for how it would work before Geico bought them and offered them for sale on their site. I am GUESSING that making special arrangements for that sort of thing would not kick in at the 50 or 100 BB purchase level, but the buyer/reseller would have to buy THOUSANDS of BB to get MI to agree to special arrangements, a la the Geico Rewards set up. Comments?

Many hotels use BB's as promotional items as well...if you frequent the a hotel fairly often you might wish to contact someone in sales to see if they are using them as a property promotion (resale problem soled :D)

Let's do this - I'm in for 20 $100 BB's.

iwpingmu Apr 8, 2010 10:40 am

please pm me if $100 BB available at bulks, thank you

dalm Apr 8, 2010 11:13 am

Interested.

USirritated Apr 8, 2010 1:10 pm

Yes, I would be interested in bulk BB's too, but at what buy in price, and can we use a credit card to buy them?

annerj Apr 8, 2010 2:35 pm

Hopefully I didn't give the wrong impression. I'm not going to do any of the leg work for this. :)

If someone can find out who to contact/terms, then I could set it up and do the collection, order and distribution.
