Yes you will receive credit for both nights. You should also receive points for the full amount of the bill. The bonus bucks is supposed to be treated the same as any type of payment, so it should show as a credit on your bill. If you do not receive points on the full amount of your stay just give MR a call and they will quickly fix it for you.

Thanks!

Thanks very much for your help!

It's not an award stay in any way, so you should get full credit for the stay. All appropriate status benefits and no grief from anyone. Make sure they don't post the BBs as a rate reduction that would reduce the points earned. All to often, the front desk doesn't know what to do and/or the back room people use the wrong codes.

Unfortunately you should not count on credit for a two night credit as Marriott Concierge explains below.

Hello Mr. And Mrs. Nub2travel
I reviewed your stay and looks like you received the correct credit on you account. When you use your EEO for a free weekend night, that night is considered as a complementary night and does not qualify for elite night credit. This is similar to what would happen if you were to redeem your points for a free night or paid for you stay with an incentive reward.

Kind regards,

Marie

I don't see how this applies to the OP's question. EEOs and reward stays are completely different than Bonus Bucks. You will get credit for both nights.

$200 Bonus Bucks?

A friend pointed me to a listing on eBay purporting to offer a $200 Bonus Buck. Of course, when curiosity got the best of me and I clicked the link, the item had been removed.

Is it for real? Is Marriott issuing $200 Bonus Bucks, or was it just a hallucination brought on by too much egg nog?

You must be dreaming because Marriott has never issued any Bonus Bucks/Premium Pounds/Extra Euros in denominations greater than 100.

I saw the same thing on ebay, FWIW. You were not making it up, lol.

Maybe he was selling two $100 certs?

Not true - I got one last year from Delta as one of my plat gifts for the year.

That was my first thought, it's one of those Delta gifts. I assume that DL or Marriott put a stop to the ebay idea however!

What happens if your rate falls below the dollar amount of the voucher? I'm assuming there's no refund. Can you apply the excess value towards taxes and incidentals like room service? Thx.

saschaa Jan 3, 2011 3:44 pm

Yes that's possible
