Fall 2017 MegaBonus Terms and Conditions
*A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. [Although the T&Cs don't say it clearly, a stay can be as short as one night.]
• Registration is required.
• Marriott Rewards members who register for this promotion by November 30, 2017 will earn one (1) free night award at a category 1-5 hotel (value of standard free night award ranges from 7,500 points for Category 1 hotels to 25,000 points for Category 5 hotels) after two paid stays* made between September 12, 2017 and January 15, 2018, at participating Marriott® properties.
• If a member completes two qualifying stays during the promotional period, an additional offer may be unlocked and become available in the members account within 2-3 days after the second qualifying stay.
• The member may not receive additional notification except through their online member account and must register for the additional offer within two (2) weeks from the date the additional offer becomes available.
• Maximum one (1) free night award earned with this promotion per member to be redeemed for a future stay at participating Marriott Rewards category 1-5 properties.
• Free night award will expire six (6) months after the date of issuance.
• An earned free night award is good for one (1) single or double occupancy standard room only and includes the cost of the hotel room and applicable room taxes only.
• An earned free night award will be added to the member’s account within 3-5 business days after the second qualifying stay.
• The awarded free night certificate is not transferable and may not be given as a gift.
• Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for credit and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for credit.
• Stays at ExecuStay and Marriott Executive Apartments are not eligible for credit toward this promotion.
• Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay.

For clarification: With MR you start booking your stay like a rewards stay. Pick the hotel and room type. The page that asks for your confirmation will show the option to use your cert (if applicable) instead of points. If you don't see that option and you know you have a cert, call MR for assistance.

Had my two stays post in early September. Have about 8 stays since then. No emails from Marriott and no additional bonuses. Not sure I understand what’s going on with this promo.

Not everyone received an email after the first two stays; however, you should have been able to register to "unlock" your next bonus level from your account. If you didn't do that, then perhaps that's why you've received no additional bonuses.

I just finished my 2nd stay today, so am waiting on the certificate to post...I hope within the next week.
I read that part 2 has two different offers that one can receive. If this is true, I hope that I receive the earn 2,000 points after your next stay. As, I think I'll only be staying in hotels once or maybe twice before the promos end.

Many people who got it "unlocked" didn't get an email. That's been mentioned in this thread for over a month.
Did you thoroughly check all your Promotions page to make sure the unlocked version didn't show up in the two weeks or so after you two stays posted?
If not, you may be out of luck, as the terms for the promo clearly stated that you have to register within two weeks after your "unlocked" promotion appeared.
FYI, the "unlocked" promotion would probably have been found on the left hand side of the Promotion page, not at all in the same place on the page as your two-stay part of the promo (which would presumably be on the right hand side of that page).
And if it didn't appear there for a week after your cert for two stays posted, you should have either called Marriott or asked here then, not waited until now (over a month later).

Will the following count as 2 separate stays at the same hotel for the purpose of this promo? I need a second room only on the second night and I currently have 3 separate reservations booked as follows.
First night: 1st room cash
Second night: 1st room award, 2nd room cash
If not, how will the stay/night be treated?

Doing some research now trying to determine the 3rd offer that may unlock and whether or not it is worth it/attainable for me.

I finished my second stay on Wednesday and received the free night cert this morning. Still nothing about the second offer yet but maybe that still needs a couple of days.

My next offer is 2,000 bonus points for my next stay. I registered, but it still seems underwhelming. At least it doesn't require a bunch of stays to trigger it?
