Hmmm, I am also showing up as Platinum Premier this morning. I have 111 total nights (85 nights stayed + 26 bonus nights). I have been platinum for approx. the last 5 years. My guess is it is a mistake; however, it would be a pleasant surprise if it is real.

I decided to call Marriott and they said I'm still just Platinum :( , somewhat of a let down, but completely expected. The lady on the phone said around the end of January is when they "upgrade" everyone to PP.

Not nice to tease us all like that.

It's gone now. They seem to have fixed the problem.

Sad I thought I had made it. :(

Mine still shows it. I actually would prefer not to be Platinum Premier - I'm quite happy with my standard platinum benefits, and I'd hate to roll over fewer nights to next year.

VickiSoCal Dec 14, 2009 2:16 pm

Why would you not still roll over your nights? Mine still shows it too.

Mine still shows it too. I've been Lifetime Plat for 3 years now but only did 60 nights in 2009 due to some great Hyatt promos

I'm almost positive that if you're Platinum Premier, only nights in excess of 100 rollover to 2010 (rather than nights in excess of 75 for regular Platinum).

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I don't really qualify for Platinum Premier.

+1. If it does affect rollover nights as tvettor1 is stating, I would prefer to stay Platinum until next year and than get upgraded to Platinum Premeire next January so I still get all of my rollover nights.

Wouldn't it be better to be PP with a soft landing to Plat than Plat with some rollover nights?

Probably - I hadn't thought about a soft landing. I didn't know you got one from PP to Plat.

I shouldn't have a problem making plat next year, anyway.

Regardless, I don't think it's an issue for me, since I'm pretty sure there's no way that I actually qualify for PP.

It's back! This is very strange.

My hubby has it too, but with only 82 nights this year it is clearly an error. Still, I sent a snapshot of it to myself, just for fun..... No way he qualifies, and if every Tom,Dick, and Harry suddenly has it too, what would it even be worth? :D

Maybe there is some super special secret new Iridium level being rolled out next year?

It was gone yesterday and back today for me also. I have 164 nights.
