It will show up on your Marriott account quick view in the upper right on their webpage.
I finally made it this year, 144 nights, a mix of all property types across the US and Canada (never less than $125 per night). I am at 700 lifetime nights accumulated since 2004. Funny though, I made gold with Hilton last year and started staying there quite a bit more towards the end of the year. I am not sure if this will sway me back to Marriott or not. I have a feeling it is about the same as the difference for National "Executive Elite" or any other such program where the only difference is perceived as better service. |
So account now shows Platinum Premiere.
I think the rollover calculations are wrong as mine shows more nights than I think I should have, but not worried as lifetime now show 1020, so I should be lifetime anyway. |
if you were already PP how do you know if you received it for 2012? The upper corner wouldn't change until March 1st, 2012

In my own case - just logged in today to updates some reservations and saw PP in status. I guess I'm happy - though I'd just as soon kept my Plat for the rollover nights (since it seems to be consensus on FT that PP isn't really worth it...). My account seems to be in the middle of getting reset for 2012, because it shows no rollover nights. I'm not exactly sure what the protocol is for rollover nights once you just made PP - but I stayed 138 actual nights last year, so I'm curious if they let me rollover anything into this year. |

Edit: My rollover nights total now seems correct. At least if they are only deducting 75 nights for the PP status. I think last year they were deducting 100 before letting you rollover. Perhaps they realized that wasn't an ideal way to satisfy customers. |
All of my details changed over the weekend.
Stay at PP for the 3rd year, and as someone who travels primarily in Europe, I would say that it is definitely worth it. 48 rollover nights in play for 2012 already. |
My nights have rolled over correctly and status has been updated.

Holy S, I just checked my account because of this thread and I am now PP too!
Can't wait for those extra benefits! |
You can tell from the roll over nights. If you 'lost' 100 nights, you will still be PP. If you 'lost' 75 nights, you will be Plat. That's how I could tell last year - I had more nights left that I thought I should :(

Of course most places I've asked have never heard of it. Some step up and process it as an employee discount, others just insist that they're "not participating." We'll know if this discount is continuing when our cards arrive (it's printed on the back). It would be truly amazing if they published a list of participating (or non-participating) restaurants. A few hotels offer (on an ad hoc basis) both points and amenity, rather than a choice, but this is not chain wide. I have noticed no change in upgrades since becoming PP. |
Sorry, should have added a  Assumed (wrongly) that everyone here knew it was somewhat of a joke.
The 20% would be of value but no alcohol and begging for it, not worth it! Honestly, it seems like a flood of PP's have been recently minted for I can't believe I'm in the top 3% of revenue given my maybe 100 BIB nights this year. Maybe an IT mistake? |
Well, it certainly does eliminate 25% more rollover nights. Maybe too many people were coasting too far on rollovers and not actually staying "BIB"
I have never really gotten any tangible benefit. Most properties seem to have no clue what it is. I did once have a check in agent offer me the points and the amenity because I was PP. On the other hand, at a recent stay, I was told that there were no upgrades available because there were just so many Plats booked that night. I suggested that PP should be considered higher than a Plat and got a "what are you talking about" reply. |

Haha...haven't been PP for about a year....and i don't notice any difference...haven't stayed as much either but since i am lifetime Plat, it doesn't matter....
However, congrats to all the new PPs here...hope you get some good upgrades! |
