It's not down, you can't compare winter/spring to spring/summer, it is exactly like last years.

Is what I got. Will easily get to 15 nights. Is the extra 10k after an additional 20 nights, or 20 nights total (counting the original 15 towards it)??
You will earn 10k after additional 5 nights for a total 30k for 20 nights.

No imagination-why bother?

Do they actually pay Ed French and his staff to keep regurgitating the same (very lame)promos year after year? If so Marriott is not getting good value for money spent.

BTW-I got the (very lame) 2 free nights in a trailer on the Marriott Ranch for every 16 paid nights

Last year's summer promotion was not Visa. Falll/Winter was.

To re-iterate what was posted in the other umpteen threads about the Summer promo last year's dates were-

Feb 1- April 30

June 1- Aug 31

Sept 15- Jan 15 (Visa stays only)

And the summer promo was-

1-4 Certificate every 3rd stay (Max: 2)

15 nights 20,000 points

20 nights 30,000 points

25 nights 40,000 points

When I logged in to my account, I too saw No New Promotions, but then I noticed a link in bold for Marriott Promotions, and that's where my new offer was hidden.

It seems that as a Plat, I was quietly and discreetly (TOO quietly, if you ask me!) pre-registered for the new promotion. I got the 25K for 20 nights (+15K for an add'l 5 nights).

Caldrich, I got the same offer as a PLT and also though it was lame that I didn't get any kind of notification of the promotion! I haven't had a stay in the last couple months so I could've easily ended up missing it without FT.

+1

I do not like so much these type of promos.

In continental Europe we do not have so many hotels cat. 1-4 to redeem the free nights.
At the end of the month one of my certificates from the promo Sept 2010/Jan 2011 will expire and being limited to cat. 1-4 hotels, it does not justify a weekend trip.

Post As I understand it

As I understand it, Tomorrow (May 10) Is the day we should be able to sign up. It is going to be very similar to the Mega Bonus before but I understand like others, you will be able to change if you do not like the choice you are given.

We should see this:

15 nights 20,000 points

20 nights 30,000 points

25 nights 40,000 points

Marriott I know is adding Jet Blue to your airline choices but there is No Mention of any Airline participating in the Summer Q2 promotion.

I checked and there is nothing under Promotion Central for me and I read that others have seen the same so it may be targeted again at certain members. Furthermore I too wonder how they are getting the word out and suspect many of us are going to find out on Promotion Central.
