Just had a great stay at the Westin Montreal. No suite upgrades as they seemed full, but our regular rooms were spacious and faced the Square. Breakfast was very nice (buffet in the restaurant).
The pool was open and quite nice. Very orderly with someone on duty checking people in. There are 3 pools. A regular swimming pool, a hot tub and a cold tub. Sauna too.
Tip: If you're driving, you can park on the street behind the Westin at a pay garage for $13 USD/day instead of valet.

Are these options not available for Plat guests at Le Westin Montreal?

Back at the property again. Previous stay was September 2016. Both times were given a coupon per night for one tapas or house wine/domestic beer at gazette. Coupon indicated valid 17h to 19h but in practice, staff was ok with use anytime. Quality of tapas is pretty good. Between this and full breakfast buffet, Westin actually beat other SPG properties.
Overall W give the best upgrades (Fantastic Suite or even higher) while Le Meridien will place in Junior Suite. However the breakfast at Westin beats both and Sheraton Club Lounge hands down.

I was back for a conference earlier this week. Still love this property, but don't have a ton to add to prior reviews as I didn't spend much time at the hotel.
Was in xx23 and had a wonderful view overlooking the river and parts of the old city. Nice touch to have the print run maps out at all times in case you can't sync up with the run concierge. Staff is good and proactively helpful. It was super busy due to DMAI and weddings, but not too bad of wait times for check in/out.

Stayed last week for 2 nights. Got 2 drink/tapas coupons and room upgrade as Platinum - a junior suite with a separate sitting room (aka Premium Room, similar to the Hyatt Place setup). Friendly employees, except valet folks are hit and miss, although the cars are brought up timely. Also, while they still have the dual shower head Heavenly Shower, the body wash was not supplied. Presumably, I could call Housekeeping and ask them to bring some, but didn't.
Lastly, while they advertise a late night tapas menu at the hotel restaurant, the kitchen closes at 11pm.
Did not trade in amenity points for free breakfast, so can't comment on that. Overall, still a nice hotel in a great location close to the convention center and Old Montreal.

The property offers Platinum Amenity points, daily breakfast buffet and daily tapas coupon for Platinums. You don't have to pick one over the other.
I believe the dual Heavenly showerheads are in the premium rooms but not the regular rooms.

Am I the only one...
