Secondly, I've added a Westin Experience Specialist position who will act like an on-property ambassador for you. Her name is Erica Cornejo and she couldn't be a nicer person. Feel free to PM me your email address and I'll introduce you to her. Finally we haven't been serving breakfast in the Club on the weekends. We'll change that and serve breakfast every day up there soon. Be Well! Phil

Spoke with Erica a number of times via emails, and yes, she is just great.

Now the hotel is listed as Category 4.

great hotel! preblocked into a nice suite. i did call in advance to ask if it would be ready as i was arriving around 130...was told it was already cleaned but when i arrived it wasn't. the awesome guy at the front desk did some magic and got me into a different suite so i didn't have to wait. then i got a nice surprise fruit basket. i assume it was the apology for the misinformation about my room being ready, but who knows...at any rate, it was a nice gesture.

i like this hotel a lot. used to stay more at the sheraton but i've found the lounge food better at the westin and with this treatment today, i'll make this my goto LA hotel.

the only negative i have here is the shuttle to the airport has in the past been a long wait. would be nice to know eta's so we can time walking down from our room, or rushing out of the airport. or just higher frequency so it's not so bad if you just miss one.

I think its every 30 minutes, but my only complaint with the shuttle is that sometimes it stops at the Four Points too since both hotels share the shuttle.

Westin LAX [Master Thread]

30 mins is way too far apart for an airport hotel. I'm also annoyed right now cuz I can't fall back asleep after getting 2 wake up calls that I didn't schedule. I feel bad cuz I just yelled at whoever keeps calling but very annoyed. Who wants to be woke. Up at this hour unexpectedly!!!!!!!!

Hi iflyuaaa,

I'm sorry to hear about this.

If you need any assistance or want to share further feedback, feel free to send a private message along with your reservation details. I'd be happy to follow-up on this with the hotel.

This can be prevented by unplugging all your phones before sleeping. There are a number of other noise abatement things that can be done, but this is #1 or #2.

I've stayed here at least six times over the last few years. The wait for a shuttle sometimes takes as much as 15 minutes but it's usually less. This is no different than the airport Hilton, Marriott, etc. As far as I know, all the hotel shuttles at LAX stop at two hotels on their trips. I've always had a good experience here. Food at the Daily Grill is great and they have very good Happy Hour deals.

I did make a change so that now we are serving breakfast in the lounge seven days a week. On the weekend we have the all day snack menu throughout the evening. Hope this helps!

In your shoes I would be incredibly annoyed getting wake up calls that I didn't ask for. I apologize! That is basic blocking and tackling for us and honestly you shouldn't need to upplug your phone.

The shuttles for all of the hotels except the Sheraton Gateway are operated by one company. It is basicially a bunch of generic shuttles that are dynamically deployed based on traffic, route volume, etc. According to the master agreement they should be running at 15 -20 minute intervals. That said, if the shuttle fills before it gets to terminal 6 or 7 an express shuttle needs to be deployed and due to the airport construction there is no shortcut to get to those terminals and the wait time is much longer. I've been meeting with the company to discuss the wait times and what we can do to make them less. News at 11...

Still taking it all in. One thing that I'm sure won't be unexpected is getting good beer in the Club Lounge. Suggestions are always appreciated.

LOL!!!! We'll have a line down the hall to get into the Lounge. I've got El Segundo Brewing beers coming next week. Couldn't be fresher coming from three miles away. Pliny is on the radar!
