I love this thread - just switched both my reservations at the Crowne Plaza LAX to this Westin because of the great responses from the GM here.

Does the club lounge still have that El Segundo beer? Could use a beer after the 14 hour flight from HKG!

I did not chose a thumbs down odd!

hmmm....interesting. I chose the 4 points a couple of years ago because of the raving reviews!! Extremely disappointed upon our arrival and the hospital like type room. Thank goodness it was just a layover. We are heading through LAX in the very near future and chose the Westin this time - no brainer. I just noticed the name "Phil" in these posts.........Phil is that you? Did you just cross the street. LOL.

Club Lounge still closed on weekends at Westin LAX?
 

Just booked Westin LAX Club Room for a 1 night layover this coming October. Will be arriving Friday night around 5pm and departing for airport Saturday morning around 6:30am. Is it true that Club Lounge will be closed during those hours? No snacks on Friday night and/or breakfast Saturday morning. A bit disappointed. :td:

Let's Herr from Phil. However if lounge access is important you can always stay at the Sheraton

The F&B offering in the Executive Club consists of evening snacks from 4:30 to 7:00 Monday through Thursday. Breakfast is served everyday from 6:30 to 9:00 on weekdays and from 7:00 to 10:00 on weekends. If you PM me I may have a solution for you.

Any advice if I am able to stay in the Executive Club Lounge from 4pm onwards till my TG flight from LAX departs at 2350hrs. I'm SPG Platinum.

I believe the Westin does the 24 hours check-in, check-out option. I know that the Four Points used to do it when Phil was there.

If you're planning to check-in late, see if this option is available. Hopefully Phil can chime in and confirm.

Be sure to ask at check-in. The only issue I can think of is to make sure your key will allow access. I've stayed in club rooms when waiting for a late flight and I didn't wait until 4pm to leave my guest room to let housekeeping get in and get it ready for the next guest.

Hi Guys!

First on the Exec Club food offering...Breakfast consists of breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, pastry, oatmeal and an egg entrée. Evening snacks are offered in the form of a charcuterie platter, hors d’oeuvres which change each evening, alcohol available for purchase (including some El Segundo Brewing beer), vegetable plate and dessert items changed daily.

No problem spending time after check-out in the Exec Club. Great point on the key though. Generally they will expire around 4 pm. Might take an extra trip to the Front Desk to get the key extended. Best to PM me or email me if you already have my email so I can alert the staff.

For the 24 Hour Check-In/Check-Out...I haven't put that in the Westin yet. We do have Your24 though or you can PM me as above and we can work out a game plan for your schedule.
