You should definitely be treated the same as a revenue plat. In fact you will get the plat amenity (I always opt for 500 points), and have been upgraded frequently on points and cash + points stays. If you don't get an automatic upgraded, definitely ask.

Actually I was thinking....
The Horror that Cheap Elite didn't attach a link!
No worries Green_eyes... here's the link to show you how to attach pics if you so choose. Otherwise you can always ask one of us nicely!

quick report from Sheraton AC
Booked award night at firts, then decided to book at $125.00 per night. Checked the rate the night before check in - was down to $89.00. Called Plat Concierge - was not able to get an adjustment...
Parking, as mentioned before, is 12 dollars plus tax per day.
Check-in - reserved standard room, was upgraded to a Corner Junior Suite. Asked about VIP suites, was advised that "all VIP suites are under renovation" and only Junior Suites are available. Asked if there is a couch in the room for a child to sleep, was told that there is a small couch.
Room - dining room as you enter with a huge round table, small fridge, sink, microwave. Regular size bathroom. Queen size ber, no couch, just 2 leather chairs and a coffee table. Called the front desk, asked for a rollaway bed due to no couch, was told extra $20.00. - took it, no other choice.
CL - dissapointed with evening snacks - 2 tiny pastrys available, fruits and 3 kinds of cheese, coffee/juices/water. Thats it. Compare to some of the european CLs - this is a joke. Hopefully breakfast will be better.
Pool - under renovation, looks kind of dirty and cold. No lifeguard. Fitness room - same impression.
Overall - happy with upgrade, not happy with parking and rollaway bed charge. But hey, family is happy - hubby is at Borgata playing poker, kids is in the pool and eating snacks at CL - what else does matter?

I wish!
Hubby needs to score you a Borgata suite next time, of course, preferable as a comp.
Update on the breakfast - it is awesome! - not a continental for sure - bagels, assorted bakery, eggs, cereals, fruits, oatmeal - very happy with it!

Hello all! I'm new to the forums and have found a lot of useful information. I was wondering if I could get some help. I'm also new to the Starwood program, so I'm not a Gold or Platinum member. I'm planning a Saturday to Sunday trip to AC with some friends and will want to get a room. Are there any new codes for a 1-night stay (stay Saturday, leave Sunday). Any advice from you AC veterans out there? Also, do you have to be Gold or higher to get a club level upgrade? Thanks ahead!

ROFLOL,
summer + weekend + AC = very high prices
Atlantic City is extremely seasonal. While Friday/Saturday nights are expensive year round @ the casino properties; they are absurd (for non players) in the summer.
Example, Saturday August 1st --- 1 night
Harrah's Resort Atlantic City
Marina Deluxe NOT AVAILABLE
Bayview Premium Subtotal:* $429.00 (USD)
Harbour Deluxe Room Subtotal:* $399.00 (USD)
Marina Luxury Subtotal:* $429.00 (USD)
Waterfront Premium Subtotal:* $459.00 (USD)
Caesars Atlantic City
Deluxe NOT AVAILABLE
Luxury NOT AVAILABLE
Premium NOT AVAILABLE
Showboat Atlantic City
Deluxe Subtotal:* $389.00 (USD)
Premium Subtotal:* $439.00 (USD)
House of Blues Studio Subtotal:* $639.00 (USD)
Luxury NOT AVAILABLE
Bally's Atlantic City
Classic Subtotal:* $389.00 (USD)
Deluxe Subtotal:* $419.00 (USD)
Luxury Subtotal:* $449.00 (USD)
Premium Subtotal:* $489.00
So, no surprise the Sheraton is a 'bit' pricey on the weekend.

Recent stay over Sunday night
Recently stayed at $89 rate on a Sunday night. No suite upgrade, but upgraded to the club floor after I made the request (as platinum).
Enjoyed the evening snacks (had my 8 year old daughter with me) and used valet parking. Indoor swimming pool area is quite dirty (glass windows around this pool appears to be not cleaned in years). The staff member who came to clean the pool deck was nasty and lazy: he will attempt to pick up the dry leaves etc from below the chairs but leave most of the stuff on the floor. Made angry comments at the guests who were splashing the water so that it was coming on the pool deck (instead of explaining it politely to the guests).
Decent breakfast next morning at the club floor, went to the outlet shopping which is just outside the door (the concierge gave me a coupon to obtain a discount book for the outlet shops). I needed the paid stay to get a free night that I am going to use in Rome in August, so a pretty decent stay given the rate that I paid.

Atlantic City - Sheraton
Is it worth it to be loyal to SPG and stay at the Sheraton A/C versus staying in one of the hotel/casinos? I am going with a friend just for a short casino visit. How convenient is the Sheraton to the boardwalk? Price seems comparable to hotel casino's (although I can use cash/points to get cash expenditure down).

The Hotel is a 5-10 walk (for me) to the boardwalk. Plus there are Jitney's all over. A cab is IIRC $7 or $8 for service anywhere in AC.
