Anyone else who has this card get find their status downgraded after they announced the status extension?
I just logged in to ensure that my free night certificate was re-credited properly after canceling a reservation a while back, and not only do I not have the certificate, but my status was downgraded from Platinum to Gold.
I still have the card, so there's no reason I should have been downgraded.
Also, have they announced any extension of the free night certificates?

Members who currently have an active Free Night Award (FNA) expiring in 2020 as part of their credit card benefit, annual choice benefit, promotions or travel package will be able to use it through January 31, 2021. (Exception: Members in mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan the Free Night Awards will be extended 12 months into 2021 from the date of expiration).
We would like to help look into your account status and the missing free night certificate, if you could provide your account number and reservation details to us via private mail here.

Would like to see this card also get the 15 bonus night credit in addition to another personal card similar to the Business version (15 + 15 = 30 elite nights). How can Marriott justify a second card with an annual fee of $125 vs this card that has an annual fee of $450 ($300 comes back from staying in Marriott properties, but isn't that considered loyalty right there)? Just a rant, I will probably get the Amex Marriott Business at the end of this year, just feeling for the Brilliant Card folks compared to the Hilton Aspire automatic Diamond.

You won't get the 50K night cert for 8-12 weeks after your annual renewal. That is the way Amex is ensuring you only get the cert if you pay the annual fee. So no, you won't get the 50K cert if you downgrade your card.

Was able to use my free night certificate for a $330 per night Marriott outside of Glacier National Park, MT for this August. So a pretty good value for my effectively $150 annual fee.
Now figures crossed late summer travel is going again!

Nope, you at least have to buy a gift card at the property.

Copied from the terms of the $300 credit:
"Your first reward year begins on your account opening date. Each subsequent reward year begins on the anniversary of your account opening date."

No the credit is per membership year, not calendar year.

Annual Fee During Covid-19 Question
Hi everyone, with Covid-19 disrupting travel plans in March and April - and likely for several more months - it was a pretty bad time to get hit with my $450 annual fee charge yesterday. Has anyone had any luck with trying to get the annual fee reduced due Covid-19?

no, but there are retention offers, check the Amex forum. The more you spend the better the offers.

I was offered 30k points for $3k spend in 3 months. The card benefits more than offset the $450 fee, in my opinion, so I happily accepted.
