Just to update my own situation:
- Lifetime years are: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020. 7 years in total; not including 2021.
- My '2020' lifetime year was updated in June 2021, only after crossing the 75-night threshold, on the same day as I as qualified for Titanium. There was no change at 50 nights.
- For my '2021' year I was informed this will be updated in February 2022.

So all of us who are stuck at 9 years of Plat get nothing except maybe some useless Silver or Gold years, and people at LT Titanium get Plat years?
Basically, no one gets any help from this update. And no one gets the true amount they should have.
Frankly, given the way Marriott has dealt with this so far, this isn't surprising.

Can anyone help me with my calculations based on SPG rules? I became SPG platinum in 2017 and have been Titanium 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Will be platinum this year.
Have not received any update on my Lt tracker since 2019. In my app it says 4 years of platinum but as I was a SPG plat in 2017 it should be 5 years now in 2021 right? And 6 years of platinum in february 2022?

According to the lurkers and my own experience:
2017 + 2018 + 2019 + 2020 = 4 years
the '2021' current year will be credited in February 2022
I don't see how you arrive at 6 years when there are only 5?
2017 + 2018 + 2019 + 2020 = 4 years
the '2021' current year will be credited in February 2022

I called and opened a case a few months ago— no dice (or response). So, after reading all the info above, I called to ask for the status. Mind you I have had 3 cases opened this year for various issues, including a hotel overcharging me points. I also sent an email to the lurker. No dice.
But when I called they asked me if I wanted to open a new case. I said sure. Today I got an email saying they are looking into it. I have some hope. However,
I am already moving my next few trips away from Marriott —sadly. I spoke to someone at Kimpton and they said they have been getting a lot of elites from the Bonvoy program. Never stayed with them, but excited to try.

Maybe we can help the Lurkers and Marriott IT with this hint to the problem witnessed in this thread multiple times:
Many posters here have confirmed that when they move up a status level, their yearly number increases for the previous level.
As an example, if a member has Platinum for 8 years and then gets to Platinum again in 2020 for the 2021 year, their number increases to 9. To be clear, they cannot go beyond Platinum for this example to work.
They get Platinum again in 2021 for the 2022 year, but their number does NOT increase.
Then in 2021 they go further and achieve Titanium, then their Platinum number does in fact increment to 10. They didn't just then earn another Platinum year, yet something in the system increments the years when they make the jump from Platinum to Titanium.
Several people in this thread have reported this behavior.
A few others have reported that having Titanium all along does not produce the correct number of Platinum years total.
It seems like making the jump from Platinum to Titanium for an account that was no more than Platinum the year before is the key.
I'll be a data point myself in a few weeks.
Marriott IT and Lurkers, if you're listening, try to find a case of this and see if that demonstrates the problem and maybe gives a hint to the programming error.
