Next year the brand is slated to introduce Renaissance New York Chelsea South Hotel, a new build on the former Antiques Garage Flea Market site, from which it will draw inspiration. Giving a wink-and-nod to the neighboring floral district, the hotel will weave together design elements of an indigenous flea market and secret garden with a dramatic staircase taking center stage in the lobby: a collection of contrasting modern and antique door knobs, locks, and keys.

The Renaissance Harlem Hotel is scheduled to open in 2020, restoring and playfully reimagining the Victoria’s Loews Theatre, which was at the center of the vibrant “Harlem Renaissance” era in the 1920s and 1930s when art began to flourish in northern Manhattan. With approximately 200 guestrooms and suites, the hotel will exude polished glamour with a nod to the grit and tenacity of the destination’s triumphant past."

'By the end of 2021, Marriott will have three hotels within a two-minute walk of Amalie Arena and the Riverwalk:

• The Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, with 727 rooms, fresh off a $40 million renovation. (The rooms have already been redone. Work on the public spaces will begin in a month or so.)

• A JW Marriott, scheduled to open in the summer of 2020. The 519-room hotel is expected to cost more than $200 million to build.

• A 173-room Marriott Edition, The Marriott Edition is expected to open in early 2021 as part of a 26-story tower to be built at the northwest corner of Channelside Drive and Water Street, across the street from Amalie Arena. It will include a rooftop pool with an adjacent bar and restaurant, top-of-the-line spa and fitness center, a second high-end restaurant on the ground floor and retail spaces designed to activate the street and draw visitors."

Sofia, Bulgaria, Marriott - "build the 107 metre-high hotel, which will be on Macedonia Square in downtown Sofia and is expected to be completed in 2020."

A couple of new full service additions on the Marriott Website:

• Delta Hotel Huntington Mall in Barboursville, West Virginia - a rebranding of the Holiday Inn Huntington - Barboursville and scheduled to open in July 2018.
• Delta Hotel Huntington Downtown in West Virginia as well - a rebranding of the Holiday Inn Huntington - Civic Area and scheduled to open in in October 2018.
• Delta Hotel Orlando Celebration in the Orlando/Kissimmee area - it is a rebranding of a former Ramada, Radisson and now Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration. It is scheduled to open in March 2019 following extensive renovations.
• Renaissance New York City Chelsea - a new built scheduled to open in February 2019.
• Delta Hotel Detroit Airport - a rebranding of the current Radisson Detroit Metro Airport and scheduled to open in June 2018.
• Houston Marriott North - Spring - a new built scheduled to open in October 2018.
• Delta Hotel Bodrum, Turkey - scheduled to open in May 2018, a rebranding of the current Delta Hotel Bodrum

AC Minneapolis West End opened about a week ago. It's a new build, maybe eight stories, at the interestction of I-394 and MN 100 in the suburb of St Louis Park, about five miles west of downtown Minneapolis. It's on the far eastern end of the West End "neighborhood" while has an extended stay Hilton property (Homewood Suites IIRC), some chain restaurants, office buildings, apartments, movie theaters, and a bunch of mostly small independent shops arranged in an outdoor "street/village" format rather than an enclosed mall, but there is an enclosed free parking garage for the commercial area. IMO the whole neighborhood is largely targeted toward millennials, albeit less so for the hotels. The hotel itself seems to have its own outdoor parking lot.

Other AC hotels in Minnesota are located in downtown Minneapolis and next to the Mall of America; the latter is an airport hotel and has a free airport shuttle (with a light rail station and the Mall of America both within about a block), while the downtown one is about two blocks from a light rail station. IMO West End would be impractical without a car although most of the West End development restaurants are within walking distance; it's about 20 miles from the airport using expressways that are very congested.

Actually, Düsseldorf / Dusseldorf will get three Moxy Hotels.
There will be the the Moxy Dusseldorf South / Düsseldorf Süd, which will open later this year or early 2019 (July 2018 is not confirmed anymore: https://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/fa...seldorf-south/)

Second, and about to open late 2018 or - probably - early 2019 the Moxy Düsseldorf / Dusseldorf City (https://www.ahgz.de/hoteldesign/expa...012236377.html or https://www.facebook.com/moxyduesseldorf/). Building has not even started yet and the tenants have not left the ofice building which currently also hosts the British Consulate-General.

Roseville (ne of Sacramento) CA: New Residence Inn coming
 

The under construction 104-room Residence Inn by Marriott is being built currently along Washington Boulevard, south of Blue Oaks Boulevard and west of Highway 65, in (west) Roseville, California, estimated to open early 2019. Across the street, a new A 107-room Home2 Suites by Hilton.

The hotels are very convenient to the new FBI Sacramento Field Office Building, the Hewlett Packard Roseville campus and a Topgolf entertainment and driving range complex. The nearest places to eat at this time are Tang Sushi and a Pizza and Wings shop.
