Residence Inn Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel - May '19. This is the 3rd RI I've seen that has a 'name' attached vs. just RI, so wondering if it will be a tad nicer (or a higher category!). Says it has a bar.

A couple of new UK hotels have appeared on Marriott.com:

Delta Hotels Nottingham - looks like to be a rebrand of the Q Hotels Nottingham Belfry (opening April 2019)
Delta Hotels Cheltenham Gloucester - I think a rebrand of the Q Hotels Cheltenham Chase Hotel (opening June 2019)

I know a number of Q Hotels have rebranded as Doubletree recently so but these would be the first Delta Hotels in the UK I believe.

Wow, great! Finally a proper hotel in the main city of Cambodia.

P. S. Wanted to book it on points, but seems reward bookings are not available now :(

There's a property thread, so perhaps post there...

Website now gives a March 2019 opening. Still lots of scaffolding here; I’d say the new date is still too optimistic.

According to the street address given on the Marriott website, the upcoming Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington will be at the site of the (former??? The building still has the sign, but it doesn't seem to be bookable) Crowne Plaza Minneapolis Airport West (not the same as the Crowne Plaza Aero, which is much closer to the airport, on the light rail line, and will include the relocated NWA History Center museum). It's a six story building from 1970 with 253 rooms which was put up for sale at some point. IMO to make this old tired hotel into a Renaissance the best plan would be to tear it down completely, which might be consistent with the goal of opening in February 2018 (long after the Super Bowl).

The location is just south (across I-494) from the Sheraton Bloomington (former Sofitel) and near a bunch of cheaper chain hotels, roughly halfway between the US169 and MN100 intersections, but closest to the East Bush Lake Road exit. It's next to some nice looking newish suburban office buildings (with a decent restaurant and bar) that face a small lake. Otherwise there's nothing nearby. The distance to the airport would be almost ten miles, all along an expressway subject to bad traffic jams but there are some tricks using side streets.

Update: At the end of last week, they still had the Crowne Plaza sign. The website says opening in February 2019 and it looks like the first bookable date is Tuesday February 5th. Rates are cheap, especially for Friday and Saturday nights. Also, they seem to be selling club rooms on weekends too, so this might mean that the lounge will be open every day.

AND ANOTHER UPDATE: They seem to be operating as a Renaissance. I saw their shuttle In the wild (on the road, with what looked like a temporary sign on the small white van), although it wasn't clear whether they were doing airport runs. If so, this would probably be the farthest hotel from MSP with an airport shuttle.

When I drove past, there was still a big Crowne Plaza sign on the side of the building, but there was some stone thing (IIRC totally new) at the entrance to their parking lot that says Renaissance.

I just realized that this is the twelfth (and farthest) Starriott family hotel along the southern part of I-494 going west from the airport: Renaissance Bloomington, Sheraton Bloomington, RI, 4Points, FS Marriott, JW (in MOA) AC, TPS, Fairfield Inn, Staybridge Suites, Springhill Suites, and Courtyard. Wow!
