Residence Inn Portland Vancouver (the WA one) stopped showing up in my searches. A little sleuthing and it is another RI that has become a Sonesta ES. Specifically the Sonesta ES Portland Vancouver. A few months ago it seems, but I missed the switch and cannot find any other mention of the change. They did a major renovation not too long before that (maybe because of it) and took out all desks with work chairs and replaced them with high tables and high stools. Loved the place, but that change was odd and made staying there a bit difficult for me.

Renaissance Antalya (Turkey) seems to have rebranded to PALOMA hotels at some point last year. I wanted to stay there on points/TP cert until the mandatory cash payment to receive all-inclusive privileges was quoted at a price higher than a cash room. Still a shame it's gone.

Fresno, California area has several new properties coming, including a couple opening this year:

Fairfield Inn & Suites Fresno Yosemite International Airport - New build property nearing completion. Located 1/2 mile from the airport terminal door. (adjacent to the BW Plus, both have same management company). Marriott web site lists a March 2018 opening but not accepting reservations yet.

TownePlace Suites Clovis - New build property currently about half-finished. Located 1/2 mile east of Fresno State on Shaw Avenue. Current opening estimate is late 2018.

New Downtown Fresno property - A developer purchased an empty lot from the city immediately adjacent to the downtown convention center. Media reports are that the new build 200 room hotel will be one of the Marriott or Hilton brands with a restaurant. But some local rumors say Courtyard is the likely brand. Per the performance agreement portion of the contract with the city, construction must start by October 2018 and be completed by November 2020.

Rebranding of the current InterContinental Dallas. Not sure what brand it will be. Tossup between JW and Autograph Collection in my opinion.

Tucson Marriott University Hotel in Tucson - Opening in March 2018
Returning to the Marriott brand after a brief stint of independence because its owners decided to defer renovations. Seems like things did not work out too well for them without a brand Affiliation.

Some updates for Germany: The Moxy Berlin Humboldthain has already been reported but pushed the opening date to February 2018, and in addition to that next door there will be the AC Hotel Berlin Humboldthain opening the same month - both not yet bookable, however. And there is the Moxy Duesseldorf South now listed as well, opening in May 2018 (not sure if this has been reported already), also not bookable at the moment.

For the Netherlands, there will be a new Renaissance opening near Schiphol airport, the Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, opening in November 2018. While it's technically right next to the airport I assume that getting to/from it will be a bit more complicated than other options around being in Aalsmeer, but for me this will be a nice addition as it's the closest Marriott property to my company's Amsterdam office.

Delta Kamloops in Canada has been announced for next year. It is a rebranding of the existing Hotel 540 after extensive renovations.

FYI, the Marriott link calls the hotel a Renaissance - which feels right. I haven't stayed there, but have been to many events there. Not unique enough to be an Autograph, not nice enough to be a JW.
