A confusing name, as it's in Irvine, near Irvine Spectrum, and thus almost 10 miles from Santa Ana the city or SNA airport.

The Courtyard a block or two away from this new hotel calls itself Courtyard Irvine Spectrum, not Santa Ana Courtyard.

Thus I wonder if they'll change the name before it opens? :confused:

Anyone have updated timing for this one? It isn't showing on the MR Website. Considering it for a stay this June and wondering if the deal for Williamsburg Lodge to become an Autograph Collection hotel is still on and when it will be available.

I agree. The new Santa Ana Marriott Irvine is definitely under construction at Irvine Spectrum, rather far from Santa Ana. The following article calls it the Irvine Spectrum Marriott, which is a much more appropriate name.

Also interesting to note a new Autograph Collection hotel, The Cavalier, to open in VA Beach. Great option for that area, which previously only had sub par limited-service properties. Cat 9, of course.

It also appears that the midscale sector is driving these companies’ growth in Asia, with Courtyard by Marriott (30 hotels, 6,438 rooms) having the largest pipeline of a single brand."

Ithaca NY Marriott now open.

"Courtyard by Marriott Cold Lake open its doors in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada today. Siem Reap Courtyard is supposed to open in the next few months and a Courtyard in Phnom Penh at the corner of 63 and 214 is being built. I'd guess the latter won't open until 2018 (contrary to the published date in 2017).
