TD go is a no too. None of them take amex at all.

raccah Jul 14, 2014 8:54 am

Tried to load to USB and received this error: Funds cannot be loaded to the account at this time because the minimum load amount would exceed the maximum allowable card balance.

Which is not true

One teen has 1600 and one teen has 1100. The one with 11 will not allow me to increase her to 1600. I can give it another day, but I wonder why this is happening.

The history for the child with 1100 shows only three 500 loads for the 30 day window and many unloads via ATM.

Sounds like the same address / same phone number has already tripped some wire when you try to use the 7th time.

Before you are thinking on how to get around it and try for a 3rd parent account, you may want to cool it off some. Who knows if this would have already flagged your 2 other accounts i.e. 6 teens that have the same address and same phone number... just sayin. Being too greedy can kill a very good thing.

I am not saying anything about the SSN. There might be some internal measure to check on the address and telephone number being used not to exceed X number of accounts so to prevent fraud. God knows if IRS uses such measure there would not be hundreds of fraudulent tax returns being filed using the same address for millions $ refunds...

Just think about it, how common that is that a household has 6 Teens using the Same Address and Same telephone number? And you are trying to add 3 more with your father's new account... It is just highly unusual and extraordinary. System is designed to look for unusual activities...

Sorry to be OT for this thread but you've hit on one of my biggest pet peeves. God knows if IRS would use ANY measures to prevent fraud. I mean, seriously, seems like half thewalk-in tax preparers in any poor neighborhood recruit folks for SSN, file phony W-2s claiming huge withholding taxes and get huge refunds times 569 or more clients. Generally only takes IRS two or three years to catch up with them....sigh.

I'm missing something ...

Since the teen's card has the money on it, aren't you risking an issue when the parent unloads the teens card via MO (especially when using phantoms)?

Since names won't match, doesn't the teen have to unload?

And why should Citi allow you to pay your cc via phone using someone else's debit card?

Dude parent and teen are the same person. End of story.

So why are people creating a phantom army using fictional names?

How can they expect to liquidate with MO?

I don't think phantom armies are prevalent, but I'm also not sure what sort of answer you're expecting to receive to these questions. Either 1) people are registering real teens for buxx cards, or 2) people are registering real adults under their parent accounts who in turn use the cards however they wish, or 3) people use the cards in places that don't verify the names on the card, or 4) if none of the above fit your profile, then this card is not very useful. I don't know what could be confusing about this.

I would urge against using random SSN and/or fictional names. Just add family members with their authorization and use at places that don't verify debit card. Or stick to yourself and you can get 2 at least on TD go

Very minimal. :td:

Dont even start it... It took us 10 months to clear the fraudulent tax return filed under husband's SSN - IRS was able to stop the refund to the frauster. However it took a very very long time before IRS finally logged our affidavits (had to send it twice because no records to be found 4 months after being sent). 9.5 months to be exact - both mailings that were sent 3 months apart were logged in the system on the same day. Another 3 weeks to get it processed and then another 2 weeks to get a letter... while the manager told us there would not be any letter...::rolleyes:

one common reason is no more than 5k load per CC per 30 days for buxx. Back in the day of chase fee free GC, us buxx used to interfere with chase GC orders. I don't know what else could be causing the problem now.

mint! I said it above in my meaculpa - that there is an outstanding 500 dollar load on 6/17 from one of my teen's cards. I will load the last 500 bux in 3/4 days - thanks!

Anyone loading TD Buxx with PayPal Debit? Curious if you're getting cash back and/or warnings from PP. Thanxx.

Do you mean I can sign up for being both parent and teenage for TD to go card?
Thanks!
