To be fair gas stations are tricky as it is kind of random the amout of money they pre-auth. I had a race-trac pre-auth me for $175 just two days ago.

I can confirm this issue, first $200 swipe is fine, but the second $200 swipe fails. This is at Weis. I've tried yesterday at several different stores, same result. Looks like I'll be loading up VGCs at Staples for $480 instead.

Just wanted to bring this up again, I'm having the same issue (see my post above). Today I'll go to Staples and try with VGCs, hopefully that will be different.

Another DP. Just as was happening earlier in the year, SOME stores allow just one swipe (Weis Markets), whereas other stores still allow two swipes (Giant/Stop & Shop). This is regarding MCGCs, haven't tested if VGCs will allow two swipes at Weis Markets.

Another DP. I've tried it with VGCs and two swipes worked fine in both Weis Markets and Giant/Stop & Shop. So the issue with 1 swipe only is with MCGCs, so avoid those at Staples if you want to do two swipes. BTW, the maximum swipe is $480, so don't live a penny on the table by swiping for $479.99 :)

any pennies are easily drained at G/S&S SCO :)

Multiple swipes doesn't work at my Stop&Shop.
All one one debit card.
The last time I was there, they insisted on seeing the debit card.

Is there a place or primer for InComm (Vanilla VGC issued buy Sutton) ? Was denied at $479 for MO.

There are some more experiences on the Sutton+InComm VGC's in this thread.

Thank you. I have has success with Vanilla (InComm) on pay1040 but not on PayUSA and ACI. The BHN VGC do work on PayUSA/ACI (and I assume Pay1040 though haven't tried). Of course processor has transaction limits per quarter.

I recently tried a Vanilla VGC of the "Pathward+Incomm" variety and it unloaded smoothly at a grocery store for the full loaded value. Usually I only deal with the SSVGC, but made the above exception when my favorite brand was out of stock.
