Update: Went back, same card, same pin, tried $275. Success. Will try higher later, maybe it was just a blip?

pathward mcgc throwing "not authorized" at kroger and safeway today, tx under $477. Last one I successfully used was on the 19th. Lady at kroger said "see if your bank contacted you, this has happened a bunch lately". Interesting comment. How's everyone else doing out there?

Just got back from a three week trip to find out the hard way about these issues at W/D. For those that have tried lower amounts than $479 is there a known new max? I will be out today trying for myself... just looking to save some time if we already know the established amount...Thanks

New limit seems to be $175 per swipe and $470 total on a card per store/day. The 8-minute timer is also still there.

This gives me hope! I figured that MC BH cards were dead just as Visa BH seemed to be. My $475 MC BH swipe failed with “not authorized” at my local Kroger affiliate this weekend. Were your attempts with MC BH cards? And was the total of your swipe exactly $450?

Might be a dumb question but what's the difference between $175 per swipe and $470 total on a card when it comes to these new limits? Have two $480 of these MCGCs, does that mean they should work for $470 as long as they're liquidated one at a time and not during the same transaction?
The Office Depot MCGCs worked for $200 in 1 swipe for me. But for a $480 card, I wasn’t able to go over $175. |

Weren't these dead at Kroger since a while back? At my local Kroger these had stopped working (being recognized as debit) but all my other local grocery stores worked for >$480, Im not even sure if amounts larger than that even worked but I was under the assumptioon $480 was the safe spot for these |
