You must not be doing it correctly. SCOs are almost exclusively my transactions.

Interesting. I've been doing some heavy gift card purchasing lately. I wonder if that's why rando weirdo decided to follow me out to my car today. Still a bit creeped out by that.

It's a new update for sco in my area that rolled out a couple of weeks ago. Used to buy 4 at a time but now any gc purchase triggers an associate override. I'm guessing this is not a thing for you? May I ask how many you buy at one time?

If 1k is the trigger for associate approval at SCO, try dropping below 1k, say 2 x 495's
The opportunity cost is minimal vs maxing out at 500 per card.
;
Golden rule is stay under the radar

Yes, will have to test more. Took what seemed like the path of least resistance by going to customer service but clearly that was the wrong choice.

Oh. You didn't mention that. Of course you're getting the associate notice.

I do two, but separately. At the WM closest to me, I used to do two together, until the head yellow-vest confronted me, and told me there is a limit of one GC per day(!). So I do one, some groceries on a different card, then do one more. So unless a cashier decided to stand next to me, I look like I'm doing one and groceries.

BTW, almost all of my area WMs have SCOs at both ends of the line of registers. You could do some at an SCO at one end, and then do more at the other end of the store.

I always get the "You Rock" Vani and it has been flawless when loading full amount to Discover or ONE. It also helped me get rid of problem BHN cards.

what's the first 6 digital code of the card? Thanks

Couple of questions regarding Vanillas at WM. I was there today and they had pulled every single one of there Vanilla visas (not MC or any of their othe GC's) Mgr said there had been an issue with the Mfg'r and there had been a security breech and cards were compromised.
Anyone here of tis?

Secondly, first time for me noticing the Secure Spend GC. Can they be ooaded to Discover in one swipe if they are a $500 amonut?
Thanks

Seems like in my area, 1k is the limit per transaction. At SCO, and manned register. If you try to buy more than 1k at a manned register, the system will reject and reverse anything over 1k. Depending on your card, it can take a few days for the money to go back to your account.

Yes, I think we've seen DPs like this often enough. I would guess the next restock will fix it.

Seriously man. Yes. Everyone here is familiar with the SS VGC sold at WM. If you just read this thread, you'll see tons of discussion about them, and even some pictures of them. Just read the thread first. Also, just like I told you over in the Discover Checking Loaded at Walmart thread (which is the right thread to use for questions about Discover Checking) all the answers you are looking for are right there in front of your face. Just read the thread. Seriously dude. Just read it first, then post.

PS. I know I sound frustrated. It's because I had just spent that last couple weeks posting tons of stuff about these very topics in the Discover thread. Exactly what you asked, I had just finished posting info about it.
