As far as buying vanillas at CVS, in general, no i don't have issues with buying $2000 worth of VGCs at CVS. However some CVS stores are cash only. I've traveled my area and know the CVS' that have no issue with credit cards/AGCs. You should probably read the CVS thread here, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manuf...er-thread.html.

One correction, you can load vanillas at KATE but at $49.99 per transaction.

I have done a single $500 load last 2 days at RA by me for my citigold debit purchases. Both times $1000 was hard coded to not be accepted, but $500 no problem. So going forward, it looks like 1 $500 vgc per store? Do other stores allow more than$500, haven't seen that in this thread.

Not looking for big-time churn. Just need to do about $5k in M$ to meet minimum spending. Thanks.

Thanks. This is true for any gift card that says Vanilla on it? Can you still load up to $49.99 at a time from a Vanilla to a Bluebird at a cashier? (Sorry for the momentary WM-related threadjack.)

You can try, but it's easier if they believe there is a $500 limit per load. Less questions on why different debits used. Not many $1k GCs out there these days.
Ask them to split a transaction when buying a few items as a test. Then decide if it's worth it or it confuses the cashiers.
