Is it possible to fund my significant others Serve account with my credit card? Or does the name of the credit card have to match the serve account?

That's hit or miss...but mostly hit, I'd guess. Some have reported errors. I have done it for over a year, though.

You have few posts here so I will help you out. At the top of many threads, there is a thing called a wiki. (If you are on the mobile app, you may not be able to see it. So get on the website.). Many of your burning questions are answered in that wiki. Please read it before asking any questions.

I've added my significant other as a authorize user on my credit card account and have had no problems adding funds to her serve account.

Ritley572 Jan 8, 2015 1:09 pm

You may get asked to verify the information from a Serve representative when dealing with adding AU card accounts to a Serve account with a matching name.

For instance my brother has a Serve account and has linked a Chase Sapphire Preferred card of mine that he is an AU for. The card is in his name but as with many personal cards the AU card he has is the same account number as mine. Because of this Serve needed to verify and he needed to upload pictures of his DL as well as the front and back of his AU Chase Sapphire Preferred card. After that was done he was able to link it and has been using it with no issue.

possible? Yes BUT after you've added it and you get a random error message asking you to call, that means CPS wants to verify the card to check if name Serve customer is on the card and if card number is not attached to another customer. If not, it will be rejected.

There are AU cards with different numbers than the primary cardholder like CapOneQS. So if asked to upload the card, there'll be no problem. But if primary member's card number is already attached to his account and the same number and CCV is being linked to their SO, sometimes it goes through initially but sooner or later, it gets flagged and you get an error message when using it to load. Once you get the message, CPS will ask to upload the card for verification so it is best not to be caught having 2 people using the same CC to load their account.

Navybones Jan 8, 2015 1:49 pm

For those who want to change the card they use for loading. You can pre-emptively avoid the error asking you to call to confirm the ownership of the card by going to the following website, loggin in, and uploading a scan of a photo ID and the card you are trying to add.

https://secure.serve.com/user/SecureFileUpload

This may be something worthwhile to add to the wiki. I would do it myself, but I cannot figure out how to edit the wiki.

I used the money pass locator today and withdrew money from Serve. I was charged 2.75 for the ATM bank, but what irritates me is that it was was listed as a moneypass ATM on the money pass site and Serve charged 2.50 on top of that. I could also only get 300 out of ATM.
I tried calling Serve about it and of course the overseas person must have had a power failure and got hung up as she was looking into this.

I am wondering if this is a "pending charge" from Server or is it a done deal? If so, I am going to go back to money orders!

Are you guys also loading from that same card on your own accounts?

I am not as I do not have a Serve account for myself. I use REDcard instead and there is no online CC load option. I do however use that card to load at Target. I would be curious if the backend of the Serve platform does checks to make sure a particular credit card number isn't linked to multiple main accounts. That seems like a lot of overhead. I'd be surprised if they actually did.

Yes, I am loading hers and my account with the same card. What I do is load $500 on the credit card on my account. Then I delete the card from my account, add the card to her account and load another $500.

Oh what a pain. Why don't you just add her as an AU?

I did. But Cap One QS uses the same account number for all AUers. I get the error message "The card entered is not available for registration. Please enter a different card number"

PropClear Jan 8, 2015 3:54 pm

I know this has been answered somewhere in the 575 pages of this topic, but can you have both a Bluebird and Serve acct? Wiki seems to suggest you can't given their discussion on converting from one to the other.

You cannot. You can only have 1 of Serve, Bluebird, and Redbird. Per SSN/person.

This might answer the original question then. Looks like Serve does indeed check if a particular CC account number is already linked to someone else's account.

Anyone else ever experienced this?

Am I the only one who has not been prompted to do this in a while? For the longest time I loaded with Fido Amex, then changed to Ink to meet minimum spend, then changed again to citi aa to meet minimum spend on that. Was not asked for documents for either the chase or the citi cards, they just went through

Daily Load Limit

Is Softserve daily load limit of $2,500 on calendar day basis or 24 hour day?

Is it possible to get a serve softcard without having a serve account?

Is the method to get a serve account online is to clcik "get a card" on serve.com?

We have COQS cards and AU cards have different numbers and CCVs UNLESS there is a recent change made by CapOne? We've had our cards for 2 yrs now.

the only reason that I know it would be blocked is if someone does not have an AU card but is loading from their primary card with the same number they have used to load their account. DH is rarely asked to upload pics of cards he use to load, for whatever reasons they just go through. For me, each time I get the error message, I just upload the card via secure link before I call so CPS can immediately check and unblock it. This works well for me.

I currently have an a SamSung s3. I just cancelled my BB account and want to open a Softcard/serve account. My phone needs an enhanced SIM card, so I'll pop over to ATT to get that.

I have a new iPhone sitting at home that I will switch to as soon as I get the Software stuff finished. I don't care about any of the NFC stuff...just the CC loads.

Will the enhanced SIM that I go buy at ATT work in the iPhone that I've previously purchased from ATT, but have not yet activated?

Got this email today, believe it is probably targeted. Pretty easy $10 if you remember to add money on march 31st and remove it april 1st :)

Earn a $10 Serve Account credit after you put at least $150 into your Reserve between January 9th and March 31st. For example, that's just 6 transfers of at least $25 each. It's an easy way to put away at least $150!

Terms: *To receive the $10 credit from American Express ServeŽ you must add $150 or more to your Serve Reserve Account between January 9, 2015 and March 31, 2015 and have a balance of at least $150 in your Serve Reserve Account on March 31, 2015. Limit one (1) $10 credit per American Express Serve Account. Subaccount holders are not eligible to earn a credit. Statement credit will be posted to your American Express Serve Account within thirty (30) days of your satisfying the above requirements. Offer subject to change or cancellation at any time and cannot be combined with any other offer(s). Offer valid only for the primary recipient of this email and shall be void if transferred or forwarded.

Yes, I think it is targeted or maybe sent at random since I got it in 3 out of 5 accounts. I've already put the reserve amount, will check how soon they put the $10 credit to each account.

Terms state the money has to still be there on march 31st to get the deposit, so Im guessing we wont see it until after that, but you never know.

I was just trying to add a chase visa or mastercard to my serve account and was told by both Chase and American Express that Chase cards are not allowed to be linked to a serve account? Specially I was trying the Chase IHG Mastercard and the Chase Sapphire.

I added a CSP earlier this week and was waiting for my first $200 load to clear as pay before I loaded the rest. It went through fine as a purchase.

Just now I tried to load another $200 and got the following error message:

"We are unable to complete your request at this time, as additional information is needed. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-954-0559. Our hours of operation are 9am - 8pm EST, Monday - Friday."

Should I be concerned? Is CSP on Serve dead now?

most likely the usual verification.

from Wiki

When adding a new card you will usually need to call Serve Account security (1-800-555-4318) for verification of the new card on the second load try. This verification usually requires uploading of a photo of your ID and the credit card. You may call back to expedite approval.

Linking credit cards?

Anyone else having issues linking credit cards?
I tried to link my barclays USAir card but the credit card icons that show Visa, MC, Amex, Discover all turn grey and when I try and submit I get the error message "We're sorry, something went wrong! Please try again."

I didn't submit with other cards since I didn't want to have to go through removing and re-adding, but for a Citi card the icons were grey as well but for Chase and Amex they lit up appropriately.
