What is it saying for you guys for the delivery date of the BP funds? Does it say an arrival date of Jan 16, 1970? This was observed using the mobile app. Something is definitely stinky and it looks like the last 24 hours did not solve the issue. Hopefully Amex is getting hell for not fixing this yet from dissatisfied customers.

Sounds like a programming issue. Epoch time starts at Jan 1st 1970.... so it seems they're doing math off that date instead of the current day.

Looks like a pissed programmer took revenge from amex

I did some testing and the website delivery dates are correct. However the mobile app still has the 1970 date. I set up a test transaction to see if the correct card was going to be paid correctly and everything was correct. So I am hoping any issues that exited before are resolved now.

I had the "technical difficulty" message in late February on several of the payees - all of them had recent payments. However that issue auto-fixed itself a few days later.

On Tuesday the 4th I paid a large amount to US Bank's Club Carlson account - everything showed correctly on BB site, including the payment history. The confirmation email also showed correct payee.

Wed evening the 5th I checked Club Carlson account - the payment already showed up in account activity though not reflected in the available balance yet.

Despite the corrupted payee information on my BB in late Feb, somehow I have not seen any of the mess reported here. Knock on wood!

For those of you want to retrieve funds to your linked bank account, I did one near the end of February and the fund showed up the next day in the linked bank account. I was shocked as in the past it took a minimum 3 days. Now it is next day.

From what I read in this thread and my own experience in misplaced payment by BB, did it ever happen to you only if you made payment switching one user to another in same computer? If so, there is a bug in their code dealing with cookies.

For me, with two payments from two users, respectively, one went to correct one, and the other messed up.

Have there been any problems with transferring BB funds to your checking account?

1 experience only, past week, worked perfectly. Took about 4 calendar days from BB to checking account.

I think I'm going to send money to my checking account instead of direct bill pay. Seems safer right now.

EDIT: This blog has nice, easy-to-follow instructions on how to transfer funds to your bank account. This is good, because BB made it non-intuitive.

The app has been saying that for a least a few weeks now. I've been sending my payments fine until the most recent fiasco.

FWIW, my payments posted from two days ago and all has been going fine on my end. Hopeful that that was the end of it!

March 4th payments to my 2 Citi Executive AA cards posted to wrong accounts.
It caused a $2000 negative balance on one. Account rep unable to transfer to correct account, but cut a check for negative balance to be sent snail mail.

Why would you get a check?? Just spend it?

How do you determine if the payments are going to the wrong account? I have payments scheduled and they "appear" to be going to the proper account.

Or is it only if you SEE that you selected to pay Citi c.c. and when you click it it shows a Chase c.c.?

dartagnan Mar 6, 2014 8:51 am

I made 2 payments on Sunday to Barclays, ended up posting to Chase and leaving me with a large credit balance. Everything shows right on BB, of course. No communication from Amex, but it's not a big deal since I could easily move it.
