Must be regional. Tried in Springfield Mo and not only were they not fee free, I learned that two to three months ago they stopped taking credit card for them. They didn't realize it until repeatedly getting "merchant not found" with my Amex.

Only two allowed per household in Northern VA last spring. Almost isn't worth the effort - took forever for the rep to ring up the sale.

In the past, Scarsdale, NY let me purchase $10k per day.

I bought $2500 earlier this year with no problem. I haven't returned to know if metabank blacklisted me or not.

On Saturday I purchased 2 x $500 at Tysons Corner, VA. That's the max per household in this area. I'll be trying Scarsdale next weekend.

I will may buy this for first time upto $1500.
I read few reports of shutdown by MetaBank.
Any recent incident of shutdown by Metabank? What would be safe limit?

Member card hardcoded.
 
Went to one branch and bought the 1k max. Went to another branch, my member card showed I had purchased 1k and they declined the sale of any more gc's to me.

Nice, I work at Tyson's Corner. I assume you're talking about the location on Old Courthouse Road? Is this a limit per store or per person? Since I also live near an AAA store.

Yes, Old Courthouse.

If it's convenient, do it. Just be ready to spend a long time. I caught up on all my emails.

$1k is the limit, per household.

Be careful.

After buying $1k on two cards at ONE AAA location last year (my only AAA Gift Card purchase ever) I have been unable to purchase any more during these occasional "No Fee" promotions. I'll try again soon but I won't be surprised if my "lifetime ban" continues, lol!

Why would Meta Bank shut you down when you can literally buy thousands of dollars of their cards at one time at many grocery stores without them shutting you down?

Can anyone share what the process is to set pin is for Debit use of these Meta cards from AAA? picked one up today, do I need to call and set pin or is it last four digits of the card...
