This is the thread for posts through 2016. The new thread for 2017 is http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manufactured-spending/1826119-billpay-walmart-2017-a.html
Bill Pay cannot be done at a regular register.
It must be done at Customer Service/Returns.
Or at the Money Center in stores that have it.
BUSINESS DAY transaction completion time is 18:59:59 EST
--------------------------------------------------------------
WM offers two BP services: CheckFreePAY and MoneyGram. The cashier can initiate CheckFreePAY by selecting Money Services followed by Bill Pay on the register for a fee of $1-1.88. Moneygram is $4.99.
Once your CFP account is set up, you can add cc. When you want to BP give them your phone# to look up your account under Money Services. They often get confused and think you want MG, but just say it is under Money Services.
ONLY 4 successful debit card swipes can pay for a transaction.
ONLY 5 payments per 16 digit account number per rolling 30 days.
--------------------------------------------
:-:VISA and MC
If your particular card isn't on the list below, try "VISA" or "MASTERCARD."
"VISA" and "MASTERCARD" payee can no longer be found by search at some stores. If the employee can no longer find "VISA" or "MASTERCARD" by searching in CheckFreePAY, then you cannot pay either, end of story.
Following do not work:

if that's the case why does any page have a wiki? why does anyone ever post data points?
i feel that it's more helpful for the community to be informed on the situation as it develops, that's why they come here and read through the threads. i'm not breaking news on any new method of MS that will be killed off in a matter of hours, just helping others to keep tabs on viable, commonly known methods.

It is a touchy subject that everyone views differently.

With MS, the ground keeps shifting under our feet. I thought the whole point of FT is for all of us to keep up with what's working now. If no one posts what's working, why would we even look at this thread.
I appreciate the data points on what is still working. Besides, what we are doing is no secret to the stores and banks, they can see our actions occurring in real time. So we might as well let each other know what the stores and banks already know.

Today at one of my most reliable walmarts, was told that no more split payments will be allowed because one person came and did a $2k BP where for the last swipe the cashier accidently pressed cash instead of debit and the payment completed without the guy paying the last $500 that was supposed to., and by the time the cashier realized the mistake the guy was gone from the store.
And, any mistake by cashier could be cancelled by WMT.
Sounds like just an excuse to stall you and not to allow split payments, which is allowed by 99.9% of all walmarts

Yes, but realize if that were the case we wouldn't do wiki's. Wiki's are there to explain in detail with circles and arrows how to MS.
