Nice, time to scope your basement. lol
If I had a house and I stayed put at one place, I guess I would too. But, I'm usually on the move and storing them is more of a hassle than anything. Plus I'm usually bad with filing/storing things away..I give it a month or two after the VR clears. Not a bad idea actually. Its a hassle but if you are into the whole paperless office thing it won't be hard at all. |

But I just don't see how/why I'll need the VR info that I used months ago..hell some of the cc's I paid using those vr's are even closed.. |

Manager rang up 2 cards and then got cold feet when I tried to use a cc and decided it was cash only. I tried to tell him I had used my cc just the day before at the same store, but he insisted it was ALWAYS cash only I didn't want to argue and as I was walking out, he decides to rip off the card and trash it. I remarked how the cards could still be used as they were not activated and he gave me a ... look. Went back to the store after a few hours to pick up a Rx and saw all the cards were off the rack and the cashier up front said they were all sold out. Right!

Do you folks usually keep the old VRs or throw them? Those old cards and receipts are starting to pile up....don't see a reason to hold on to them after a month or so..?
I keep them. Just in case. They don't take that much space. Still sort of dealing with an issue with 4 VRs from April that only came to light end of May. Friend is dealing with an issue with 2 VRs going back to February. |

I don't think this is a LP issue at all.
A member whose says he/she is a CVS employee noted that GCs are not tracked in inventory. Basically someone from the GC division comes around and orders or restocks the GC rack. Most locations run out and get restocked on Monday with the delivery truck. I think I read that managers have the ability to request more or less. After supplying, he was able to get them in within the week and could then tell that the system said he had several "an exact #" on hand (I'm guessing probably pocketed..but I didn't say anything) In any case, in his ordering system he mentioned it would auto-order when the inventory said it was low.. OR he could manually order them, which he did. FYI. I think this is different that, for example OD, which last year didn't seem to know how many they had in inventory and had no control when they were coming in. |
Question: is cvs considered as "office store" and you will get 5x when you use your chase ink?
|
No, it's considered a restaurant because it sells frozen dinners. So use your Chase Sapphire for 2x points.

There have been TOO MANY TIMES in my miles life when some entity asks to see the card that originated payment or something. I know that with MoneyPaks, there have been cases where GreenDot needs you to scan them in (both sides mind you) and send WITH receipt copies to them to investigate if there was some problem in loading them to a prepaid card that takes them. I know VRs and Bb are more "solid" but still, why take that chance and then NOT have the card! |
