Based on your reply they're less likely to bug you next time. It took a few months of alerts on my TYP before they stopped.

Is it worth using CSP? I always walk away..... Edit: I drove to 4 more Charlie Victor Sierras and I didn't get lucky til the 4th one. So now I've scoped out 7 stores and found 2. Not bad I suppose? Glad to know how the stores are setup too. I tried my Citi card today and it worked for 1 bean. Hurrah. 11 more beans to buy! |

Do I get on the phone with Citi the next time my card gets declined? Do you guys sort it out at the store and then try again?
I used CSP because I'm trying to hit the min spend anyway. Edit: I drove to 4 more Charlie Victor Sierras and I didn't get lucky til the 4th one. So now I've scoped out 7 stores and found 2. Hurrah. 11 more beans to buy! all 'Charlie Victor Sierras' are out and if they have, CASH only because they sell 'beans' Stop driving around, U need to find 'CVS Pharmacy' to buy VR and use CitiCard for 5 typ.;) is it so difficult? |

Am I missing something here? Or did you just tell him to find Charlie Victor Sierras Pharmacies when he just told you they are out...
Anyhow, I just started so I need to figure out how the stores are and what the policies are. My strategy so far has been to hit the more remote stores where people will less likely frequent. The ones smack dab in the middle of everything are too easy of targets. |
galileo ios app is useful to save and see all bookmarked CVSs on the map at the same time
happy hunting |
"Charlie Victor Sierra" is getting old and tired. Let's just say CVS and avoid wasting bandwidth. :p

Today I was at getting my usual 2 beans and the cashier went and whispered something to her manager. When she came back she let me buy them, but acted weird and said, 'They're getting strict about these cards now.". After she scanned my ID and I paid, she took the receipt and jotted down a number on a scrap of paper. I made a mental note of the number and later realized it was the TRN# from the top of the receipt. As far as I can tell it's just a transaction number, no connection to the beans or my CC.
Anyone have any idea why she did this? I just bought some from the same cashier the day before and she didn't do that. |
Fear, fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency.....
Seriously its because Corporate makes them sell these but they get shafted if there is fraud. Maybe they just got hit, or a regional store did and told all branches to be extra cautious.

Prepaid cards rejected
I have an Amex gc that I tried to use for beans but was rejected saying alternative payment form required. I double checked card and they have funds. Anyone having success at cvs with prepaid cards for beans?

But your $2000 GC isn't going to like the $2015.80 that the total bill rings up to. Boom, decline. |
