Yes, you are missing thing, as the old saying goes, "If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand."

I dont get it, why if you gotta explain i would not understand. would you please elaborate why i would not understand? use a lot of detail in your explanation please, since sometimes i have a hard time digesting facts, especially when someones talking about communication and cognitive function.

DL Scan

Yesterday we purchased our 1st VR lots since beginning of July (went to lengthy trip in Europe and only back in late August) at the ONLY CVS within 5 miles radius that still carry the VRs.

The cashier swiped the DL on the side of the screen and also asked our zip code despite the zip code is on the DL itself.

Is this what you guys described as "Scan"?

Still $1K limit per day though when I asked with this new policy, would the limit raised from $1K a day? She said no, still $1K and this procedure is to prevent fraud... Friendly cashier without attitude btw.

There are some minimum spend to meet but the time frame is long so we would only pick up the beans when it is convenient instead of driving much further to find them.

They either swipe your DL or scan the barcode on the back -- either one works. I've never had them ask me for my zip code before. Maybe your particular state's ID doesn't have the zip code built in?

Ask the cashier to verify with the store manager about the new limits -- the store manager should know. If not, you can always call customer service and have them call the store to explain the new policy.

Not worth it unless its the only 1 for miles and miles

Walked into 1 I havent before, had a few other items to p/u and at the reg she pointed to a sign I missed GCs are Ca$h only. So I left drove < 5mins and walked out with everything from a different store. Some still impose a $1k limit others only 1 CC can be tendered any given day. = they are still doing what they want to besides what Corp policy is.Best not to fight it and simply move onto the next store

Remember the type of people who we are dealing with not sure if those at WM or CV has the higher IQ, they probably match out at 20. These folks fear for their jobs and need them so they will toe whatever line their mgr told them to. To an extent I dont blame them and probably would do as they do if I was in their situation,TG Im not.

He shorted each VR load by $5 to avoid the need for an ID scan (I assume).

BenH Sep 11, 2013 1:56 pm

New CVS I was at today - guy asked me if I wanted to ring up my 2x$500 in separate transactions to "Avoid an ID scan" or if I wanted to do them together.

I told him whatever was easier for him, as I didn't care about giving my ID.

He rang them up as separate.

He also seemed to think he saw a memo about $5K limit - but he couldn't find it and so he called the manager on the phone and was told only $1K.

In your other comment, you said that you earn $10 extracare bucks on VR purchases? Was it your guess or you have an evidence?

My normal beans spot is completely dry. I'm annoyed.
