Just another caution regarding security locks on the WFPP, which are atrocious to deal with. My spouse's card was locked shortly after receiving it, probably because of too many inaccurate attempts to login. What followed was a MONTH in the penalty box. Without any notification, I tried logging in today and the account is active again. The best part? They charged us $1 for every follow up phone call to check on the status of the security review.

Agree with above poster. I am using WF loading 4500 each month from Chase Sapphire and United cards and using Walmart to load to my BB. I withdraw 500 each month from WF ATM. No issues so far and I load 2 times a month(2500 and 2000) with 15 days gap.

When you load from your WFPC to BB, is it a debit transaction? How does WF treat it?

When you swipe your WF card, it'll ask you for a PIN. You enter it in and that's it. It then shows up as a Walmart purchase.

I just recalculated this and you're right, I did $4500 in 14 days and on my 18th day, I added another 1K, so I am within their limits (and wasting an extra $2.50). I'll have to move to your schedule every 16 days. Thanks for the tip. And why $2495 and $1995? Why couldn't you do $2500 and $2000? Isn't the $2.50 outside of the limits?

To the other person - I am loading the BB in WMT with 2x$500 loads.

Every load charge $5, so I take 5 off the total. I realize my thinking is wrong. its complicated! This drama felicitates the spend limit on a new card otherwise its just a headache.

Hmm, my card works otherwise. I'm going to let it sit for a week and just do small cb transactions and avoid the ATM for a while. Thanks for reporting back.

how is the monthly fee assessed? is it based on an amount as of a certain date, average balance or what? (obviously the objective is to avoid it)

i am aware of that. what i meant is how/when is it assessed; some members here drained their card and no monthly fee was charged.

also, how do we know which retailers do cashback and their fees?

ma91pmh Jan 11, 2013 6:52 pm

anyone else like me?

i have been withdrawing everything i put in within 1-2 days. so there is never enough money to charge the monthly fee. so they don't charge it. one month there was $0.68 and they charged that, that's it
