I'm getting all kinds of weird problems with ATM withdrawals and cash back.

I tried an ATM today. Only did one other withdrawal in the past seven days. Wouldn't go.

Tried to do cash back the other day. Hadn't used the ATM that day. Wouldn't go.

Getting harder and harder to use.

odd, the last time I used it at a WF ATM, I had no issues with it, but that was a while back. Let me try to use it tomorrow to see if there are any issues - will report back...

How many of these cards can I order and have active at the same time? 1? 2?

Does the rolling $4500 30 day limit apply to each, or both?

tonyflyer Jan 5, 2013 11:55 am

I have only one card, but I was told the limit is for each card individually.

Hey,
Just wanted to post my experience using the my US Bank Club Carlson to load $2500 onto the WF Prepaid card. I loaded up $2500 exactly in one go/day, and when my US Bank statement posted I got 97500 Club Carlson points (85000 bonus + 2500*5). I've been able to take $500 out twice from WF ATM's, have not tested whether the $1 ATM withdrawal fee applies as of yet.

Also, something odd - a $5 fee for loading with a CC was not posted to my US Bank CC or deducted from my WF balance. Maybe it will post later? I'm not complaining for now :)

If I remember right, the first credit card load is free. Every subsequent load is charged the $5 fee.

so is this better than the VR & Bluebird combo?

Depends what you want to use it for. Can not be loaded with AMEX cards. Some banks like Citibank record the load as a cash advance. So more limited in the banks you can use it with.

Does Discover code it as a Cash Advance?

tonyflyer Jan 6, 2013 12:40 pm

If I can easily buy VR with CC, I'd not bother with this card. With VR/BB, you have many options on loading and unloading, higher limits, much less hassle, it is one of the best ways to get miles.
