also, how do we know which retailers do cashback and their fees?

My card is charged the maintenance fee on the same day every month (the 2nd), regardless of what the account balance is. I've never had a zero account balance, though, so I don't know what would happen if I had a $0 balance on the 2nd of the month.

There isn't really a list of stores that do cash back as far as I know. Most grocery stores will do cash back, as well as other big, non-grocery chains like Target. You can also get cash back at the post office. You just have to go out and see.

anyone else like me?

i have been withdrawing everything i put in within 1-2 days. so there is never enough money to charge the monthly fee. so they don't charge it. one month there was $0.68 and they charged that, that's it

Very valuable information, thanks!

Been testing withdrawal at different grocery stores.

HEB does only 50 cashback at register and customer service

kroger does 50 or 100 max at the register(seems registers are different) and $200 back at the customer/money desk. at the cust desk, no purchase is necessary.

Randalls does more. The clerk said I can do up to your daily withdrawal limit but when i tried it, it declined $400. But immediately after that decline, i was able to do $300 then $100. go figure Next time i tried it the lady only let me do transaction up to 300 so ymmv according to the 'clerk's' rules.

I was well within the $1500 limit/7day window during all attempts

All of the above counts as store purchase so I still have my 2x$500 free Wells ATM

no fees for cash back. most grocery stores in my area do cash back, the amount varies each store, ask there next time U stop.

I think the OP means they use it for min. spend on new cards for their bonus, but otherwise does not because it's too much work or too complicated.;)

felicitates= facilitates.

just tried taking out money at a WF ATM for the first time. Got declined for both $500 and $300. Are you guys withdrawing this from 'credit card', 'checking', or 'saving'? Thanks.

Withdraw from credit card.

Funny, I've been using 'checking' and did 500 each day, three in a row.

Same here, always withdraw from "credit card" without problem.

Looks like either way works.

Still can't do $500 ATM. Looks like I'll have to stick to $300 ATMs ... don't want to call WF. Will do the first 2 free each month, then switch to MOs since those have cheaper fees/$.
