Used a SouthWest Personal card and a Southwest Business card. Both for $1000 each.

On the SW business card the pending charge disappeared and my credit limit is back to 100% available instead of being down $1000, and my $1000 cash advance limit is available again.

So does that mean it's is in the process of converting from CA to normal charge and being posted?

$6.00 maintenace fee (need to hold on to the card for two mths)
$100.00 for 20 $500 withdrawals (20x$2.50 + 20x$2.50)

$126.00 total cost

So, which one are you gonna use?

- why must there be a maintenance fee for 2 months?
- can the WF be loaded onto the BlueBird?

There is no reason to load WF onto BB.

Unless no access to VR, and they want to use bill pay feature of BB for $ put onto WF to meet msr.

practically, you need at least 3 months+ more (if U are in mess). loading and unloading(ATM + cash back) funds at WF pp is complicated with many restrictions, like BB because it has billpay flexibility

Dear XXXX,

We have closed your Wells Fargo Prepaid Card account. Do not attempt to use the card as it will be retained by the merchant per our direction. We have closed this account due to what we have determined to be inappropriate spending/purchasing activity intended to perpetrate fraudulent activity.

This is for my original WF PP. All because I had too many failed load attempts. Seems harsh.

Are you certain it didn't have anything to do with your liquidation pattern?

It's so easy to drain the WF card without BB, not really worth the hassle of adding the BB step. You might be able to save a small amount in fees if you are often at Walmart otherwise, but it just doesn't strike me as worth the effort for most people.

I had the card for months with no problems, then I got a new Chase card and I didn't know about the CA limit, so I had about 7 failed loads before I figured it out, but it was too late and it locked me out of the account and they auto closed it.

Wanted to give my experience so far with this card. I have ONLY done cash back at grocery stores and BB loads (no VR in area). I'm avoiding the WF ATM's just bec I don't want them to shut me down.

12/22 - Loaded $2500 onto card with Ink
12/30 - Loaded 1K with Ink
1/2 - Loaded 1K with Ink
1/5 - Moved 1K to BB
1/9 - Loaded 1K with Ink

I've done lots of cash back transactions, but the point of this post was to point out that the $4500 load limit in 30 days seems to be inaccurate. I know MMS says he loaded about $9500 in 4 days, but I couldn't reproduce. I did have failed load attemps on 1/6 or 1/7 (error saying max loads). Anyone know what the correct load limit is?

Why do you repeat $1000 loads, costs $5 each time. I do $2495 and 1995 alternate each 16th day. now I am stuck with $3000 in the account and leaving country for 26 days. yesterday $250 cash back denied, today 500 ATM denied but $50 cash back worked.... I have 4 days. no more WF loads when I return...wf finito, ende....

7 failed loads? People: if you are having trouble making a purchase, payment or WF PP load, or anything online just chill out. Close the window. Try again an hour or day later.

Agree with above poster. I am using WF loading 4500 each month from Chase Sapphire and United cards and using Walmart to load to my BB. I withdraw 500 each month from WF ATM. No issues so far and I load 2 times a month(2500 and 2000) with 15 days gap.

I was only doing 1K loads because MMS was doing 1K loads. It seems like you're getting $4500 every 16 days. I just recalculated this and you're right, I did $4500 in 14 days and on my 18th day, I added another 1K, so I am within their limits (and wasting an extra $2.50). I'll have to move to your schedule every 16 days. Thanks for the tip. And why $2495 and $1995? Why couldn't you do $2500 and $2000? Isn't the $2.50 outside of the limits?

To the other person - I am loading the BB in WMT with 2x$500 loads.

Dynastar Jan 10, 2013 12:35 am

I've loaded $6,200 over three months, everything out via cash back at grocery stores. No problems yet.
