Hi,
May I know whether I can send the money from my AP to my own Serve or BlueBird account as direct deposit, or the recipient must be a different person? Is the linked bank account allowed to withdraw money sent from another AP only? If I load $1,000 into AP with my own credit card, then receive $500 from another AP, will Amazon allow me to withdraw $500 only to my linked bank account, and the remain $1,000 must be sent to another AP or Amazon gift card? Thanks. |

I've been using Amazon Payments for a while. I didn't used every month, just occasionally. 6 months ago I started to be more aggressive and used the approach me > husband > grandma > me with no issues.
I had two accounts on my name, but never used one of them until last month. When I used it, I received an e-mail from Amazon Payments indicating that they suspended one of my accounts because I had multiple accounts. Not too bad! I never used the account anyway; but my account was flagged for this. This month I tried the same approach me > husband > grandma > me. The first two transactions went through ok, but when I sent the money from grandma's account to mine, I received the same e-mail and the account was suspended too! also for having multiple accounts. In this case this was the only account she owned. I think Amazon Payments is taking measures regarding manufacture spending! Be careful! |
Longest I have seen was 6 months. Most times shorter. Email them and wait at their discretion.
BTW, regarding BB cannot give details. Also, be aware that the grocery GC>MO biz is dying. Seen 2 bank cards refuse GC purchases at stores in the last week. This old auditor suspects the FT wiki has helped create a transaction kill list based on vendor and purchase amount range. Those making it easier for novice MS folk are making it easier for audit folk, too.

When you say usually merciful, how long does this take and what are the steps to asking for this mercy?

CC bank details PM'd. The fraud folk in one were pretty specific over why the transactions were blocked. There is also a third bank known to be doing some kind of an ongoing account review related to use of their card for purchasing cash equivalents (MOs, gift cards, etc.).
Having closely watched the end days of the US Mint (took about 6 months from the telling rejection of AMEX gift cards), this all looks familiar, even as to which bank(s) began to reject transactions. Start to diversify into other opportunities and avoid relying heavily on VGC and MOs for meeting large spend targets on the credit cards.

Which 2 CCs, if I might ask? I used all of them in the last couple of days.

By mistake I sent $500 using vanila visa debit gift card purchased at CVS to a wrong email, I right away initiated a refund:
1. how long does it take for AP issue a Refund?. 2. Will the refund end up in my AP account or to my Vanilla Visa Debit Card?. Crossing my fingers, I really hope this is not complicated. |

No, AP can't know the names on the account they ACH deposit to.
I send monthly to my wife, then pull into her checking account (which I am joint on). Have been for over 2 years, no problem. |

I'm thinking of a situation where the payee also has an AP and since they received a certain amount, do they have option to keep it if they want to? Although we can initiate a refund, I wonder if amazon will act like paypal in behalf of the sender to get back money. I dread to contact AP for similar issues that's why I'm extra careful in sending $. |
Problem sending money
Encountered this today when I attempted to do the usual monthly transfer to the wife :
"We're sorry but this transaction could not be completed because the recipient cannot receive this payment." Anyone else seen this ? Logged into her account and it all looks normal. |

Has she already received $1K? Did you look at the "send money" page?

I currently send my landlord my monthly rent for $450 through Amazon Payments. I would love to be able to maximize my $1,000 monthly availability by sending $550 to my parents every month. They are not very computer savvy to say the least.
Is it okay if I do this?? Next time I go home, I will go on their computer and set up an Amazon Payments account for them and send them the $550. While in their account, can I then send the $550 directly to my bank account every month, or will Amazon see this as suspicious? I'd rather have them not have to go to the bank to retrieve the money, write a check, etc. back to me. |

Check your bank account association with Amazon payments. Have seen this happen, yours is the 3rd instance of this error for me.
You will have to add and verify your bank account details again.

As for transferring the money out, I deposit into her Amex Serve account, which can then bill pay my credit card if she so chose. Again, everything I just said could be done without actually going to her computer. Just remember that when setting up AP for your parents and linking a bank account, you will need to provide their Social Security and a Driver's License #. |
